1. Right you get the file and click on the attachment and get the download file. Click on the download file and it opens another window full of text (well it does for me). Once the text has finished downloading (very important on this one) then click with the mouse in the text (don't change anything) and go to the edit and choose "select all". The entire text will be highlighted and then go the the file and save as a hotmail attachment (add a number at the end if you like) and save (in the pbem folder within CMBO). When you load the file in CMBO click on the hotmail attachment and inside you'll see the text file and open it and the pbem will open. Of course you can do as the others have said (zip or use a non-hotmail account). Hope that helps and you need to give the e-mail address name to Stryker via e-mail or posting in you new member sign-up at BoB. [ 12-06-2001: Message edited by: Cos ]

 2. Gee Juardis, I must be getting old. Didn't catch he hadn't provided his name either. Was sorta looking forward to his first challenge there and the AAR afterwards. As my fellow brother did, my real name CombatGeneral is Michael Cosgrove.
 3. Hey CombatGeneral, you'll need to give your e-mail address to finish the new member sign-in process at Band of Brothers.
 4.
quote:
Originally posted by PawBroon: ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH Xmas must cost a lifelong of savings!!!

Congrats there Wild Bill (now I know why they call you wild). Hey he's got another one to get a copy of CMBO to and next year it will be CMBB for the grandkids for xmas.
 5. This happened to me and we discussed this a while ago (and no I'm not saying you should have done a search first). At the time the thinking was the AI had locked onto the 88 in the first battle and it wouldn't release in until it was knoced out (in the 2nd battle). The positive id of the AT and then seen sounds good to me too.
 6. The AI tends to be better on defense then the attack. It sounds like you're doing more of defensive roll there and facing the weaker side of the AI. Playing against others will give you more of a challenge then the AI ever will. Well some people might.
 7. But would it be gamey for the Russians [ 12-02-2001: Message edited by: Cos ]

 8. Of course don't forget you'll want to have GD mods for those battles
 9. Nice mod there. My 1/18 scale Panther sits nicely on top of my monitor (nice to see one Panther not burning when I'm playing).
 10.
quote:
Originally posted by Madmatt: Sorry to bust bubbles... Madmatt

Sob!
 11. Get the November issue of PCGamer when it comes out. Jedi Outcast is previewed and there's a nice shot of a stormtrooper's arm going airborne after getting tagged by a lightsaber. Mom must be asleep already tonight.
 12. I have lost 2 PzIV to Daimler AC to frontal shots in the 300 to 400 meter ranges (Panthers made short work of them after that). Also once had a Stuart knocked out a Panther on at about 250 meters on the frontal hit (Panther was too busy blasting my TD care about the Stuart).
 13.
quote:
Originally posted by 109 Gustav: Was the election for the top 50 held in Flordia?

No in Chicago, the dead got to vote I think it should have rated higher then some of the games there (wish I had the mag in front of me I'd list them). It was nice to see it on the list, but the pic had no mods in it, how could they do that.
 14.
quote:
Originally posted by 109 Gustav: Wish I didn't have to bump this...

I'll bump it for you Sir.
 15.
quote:
Originally posted by Smack: German prisoners often screamed to British Vehicles to help them. In the End, and this is 100 percent fact and widely admitted in all Military and historical circles, the British kept much better care, and indeed treated Germans better than in US/French camps. The treatment was so bad that Britain stepped in and took over many American camps and were horrified at the treatment of the prisoners in American camps. Many died that day of starvation.

Gee I don't recall the British having forces in America in WWII to take the camps over. Don't recall seeing any large graveyards outside camp Perry (in Ohio, which served as a POW camp) to bury those 1,000 a day dead. Sounds like crap to me.
 16.
quote:
Originally posted by Reuven: Just played the demo and I must say that it's been a nice change from the buggy WW II Online. Does anyone know how many copies of combat mission were sold? How far away is combat mission 2?

True, no flying tanks here. Anyway welcome aboard and say goodbye to the wife/girlfriend/etc...
 17. Well gee that was a loaded question. Hate to pick on Corn this early because of a desire to play the game.
 18. I've had some sucess with them at night and/or fog, as the los is shorter. Move forward till the edge of their range and roasted the building with all those airborne boys in it.
 19. Well they are sitting there waiting for something to come into view and they do have some training. Is this just Allied tanks getting nailed in the field or both sides?
