1. I do recall on the Russain Battlefield site with the interview with a Russian tank commander they found one of his friends with a piece of the T34 enbedded in his forhead after the HE cooked off in a burning tank. This commander had stated the ammo in the T34 tended to cook off more then the lend-lease US ammo and you wanted to get away from burning T34's.
 2.
quote:
Originally posted by Mr. Johnson-<THC>-: Come on you guys, this was supposed to be a thread about begging MadMatt to make a textured T34-85 a pic of the day over at Combat Mission HQ but you guys are ruining it.

Ok we'll get back on topic. While we're watching the fire and swilling down beer and eating steaks, MadMatt could we please see these T34-85 shots.
 3.
quote:
Originally posted by Soddball: What do you mean, no drunks? 90% of the intelligible posts are made by people too drunk to focus.

I thought it was the smoke in their eyes from the fire.
 4. Hey Detroit Guy, I don't see any replies explaining what a mod is......how could we be so careless as a community on this one. This is one of the great things about the game. Most of the graphics can be modified by downloading a mod file and putting it in the bmp folder (ok there's a mod manager, but more for later). So for example you Panther G can now have a camo pattern on it. Try some of the links you see by people's signatures and follow your way to the mod pages on their sites for some of the eye candy. Welcome aboard BTW.
 5.
quote:
Originally posted by Mlapanzer: hey Detroit guy GO BUCKS MICHIGAN SUCKS! from just down the road near Toledo, Ohio. I would like to kick your Maze & Blue ass in CM as soon as you get the game. -------- It's good to be at the top of the food chain.

OOOOH a maze and blue vs that other team battle. Well U of M's fight song isn't Hail to the Victors for nothing (well at least until they get to the west coast) Love from Monroe, MI.
 6.
quote:
Originally posted by Raketenpanzerbüchse: Yeah! I hope I can play this weekend! My wife is gonna kill me...

Oh dear another CM widow in the making. Maybe she should get in touch with my wife/widow for a social life
 7.
quote:
Originally posted by Panzerman: How can a tank look good knocked out?

Well I'm having this wonderful string of luck with my Panzers, so I've gotten use to them being knocked out
 8.
quote:
Originally posted by Radar: Ya, all months had 50 days in it till 1950, then it got reset to like it is today.. Too hard to keep track of the lunar cycles..

That's strange...you mean the world changed from B&W to color before they updated this?

 10. Just DL the Panther, have a game with a knocked panther going and checked it out. Even looked good knocked out.
 11. Bradley here also. Guess I need to stop playing the Germans now.
 12. Ok here's how to use them. A Zamboni get the ice ready over the TRP (which now looks like center ice) and departs as the soviet forces come into view. Soviets stop and start playing hockey and 45 seconds later wamo that nice little round from the ST takes them out.
 13. I do like it. Well I know what I'll be downloading when I get home.
 14. Think of it you place them in rubble in a town. Let the Tiger I roll over it and then bomb on the infantry walking behind the tank, then a few well placed sticky bombs and knock out the Tiger I and create a 60 ton roadblock in the town. Love to see that in a CM movie
 15.
quote:
Originally posted by Jeff Duquette: nice photos....just seeing if they can be directly linked.

They give any reason why it's on the trailer?
 16. Did a quick search for mods for Jagdtiger, didn't see any (mainly because I'm blind I'm sure). Just the one winter and that's all. Any others out there?
 17.
quote:
Originally posted by Babra: I don't even want to know the answer. My guess is they were non-combatants/prisoners/wounded... I must be old. I find it disturbing rather than funny. It takes a vicious animal to beat a person to death. It takes something less than human to do it ten times...

Meant the rolly eyes for disbelief, not a joke. I was figuring it was more WWII propoganda. Just can't see how/why you would beat 10 people with a faust. I mean wouldn't you pick up the weapon off the first one....if they had one.
 18.
quote:
Originally posted by Dittohead: This proves once again that Russian soldiers were not smart enough to use captured weapons. I would like to see him beat a tank to death next.

LOL, is that going to be part of CM2 or the next mod (German mess tin and all).
 19.
quote:
Originally posted by Rollstoy: They said it can't be done ...

It does say that in the article, so be happy
 20. What were the little hitlerites doing, sleeping when he beat them to death with the faust Seems it would have been easier to beat them with the mess tin then try to swing the faust around like a club.
 21. I would second that, you can leave his stuff up in General IMHO so people know what he really is all about.
 22. Looks like enough changes even without an engine rewrite.
 23. As luck would have it I signed up for the free preview issue and just got it today. On page 60 guys(and gals), enjoy.
