The problem with every Pacific game I've ever seen is the scale. Only way to do it with something like SC2 would be to have popup maps for the battles. Which, now that I think about it, hasn't worked too well in every Pacific game I've ever seen. But maybe Hubert could pull it off.

Could come up with a pbem kludge, allowing incremental loading and playback of a turn. You know, round robin deal. Would really have to trust your alliance partners not to move your units though.
