Here, here. I agree.

Um, this makes it sound like we should shelve the game for a few months. I have scenario designs I'm sitting on. Bummer.

Every few months I drop in here to confirm that you Pengers are bat-sh1t crazy. Carry on. -
Where is the "Heavy Fog" setting?
Franko replied to Franko's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
It was called "Fear in the Fog", I think. Fog is an enormous factor in the Mortain Offensive, which, of course, took place August 6-10, in Normandy. So it's in the games purview. -

Add "Heavy Fog" a la CMx1. PLEASE. -
I'm trying to design a scenario, and I note that there is no heavy fog setting, a la CMBO. Is there any plan for this? The current "light fog" setting still has 100m of visibility..,is there a way to decrease visibility further? I need the pea soup stuff. Frank

So...how do I find a PBEM opponent..
Franko replied to Franko's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Sure, I did all that in college. But women were involved. And women were nonexistent in the Peng thread. -

Yesterday. I've been avoiding Peng all these years. It's scary. -

Yeah, that's totally what I really meant. -
I tried the Peng Challenge thread, but it appears populated by tards.

If you haven't discovered this, too bad. Gentlemen, the biggest topographic map score ever...showing satellite pictures and topographic maps together, in as low as 1/12,500 scale, for ALL OF FRANCE, for your IPad, for only six bucks. Check it out and post all your adulation here. It's called "Iphigenie", and you can find it at your App store. You're welcome.

Good point. I have never had to ask for support before. I'm sorta clueless. The battlefront gang kicks ass. -

I appreciate it. While waiting for this reply, I tried doing a download and install. The installation is all set to go...just waiting on being allowed to activate. Bear in mind I have TWO orders. PC is fine, but not MAC. Thanks for the prompt reply. Believe me, I'm not ruling out stupidity on my end. frank -

I'm frustrated. I got the MAC version and the PC version. I've loaded the PC version fine, but MAC is driving me nuts. The hotfix doesn't work. I got the disk and installed it, and while struggling with the hot fix, I ran out of activations. Can I have my activations back? Also, should I ignore the disk and download the game from the Internet, now that the fix is not required? Help! -
Loaded them up...looks outstanding.

I spent a great deal of time designing and publicly distributing scenarios both independently and through Boots and Tracks. Many of them were well-received. I've been studying the AI capabilities over the last few days and have actually read the manual. It looks as though there is tremendous potential here, even for designing scenarios where the AI may actually WIN. I have a sense that there will be no bad scenarios going forward: only bad designers. Question: is there some sort of AI guide out there, other than the manual, that can give us more insight? Or, is it fair to say that the manual is complete onto itself, and there is nothing further to add? Battlefront, what say you? Also, I'd like to point out that this "game" (I'd prefer to call it a hobby) is truly a magnum opus, and the folks at Battlefront should be lauded. It is truly an astonishing achievement. Well done, gents. I hope you're making enough on this to buy a few toys and to take care of those you value. Great product.
