    I decided to try the most famous russian 3-tone camo. Mixed feelings about it, it's quite hard to get the right sand color and this is only an attempt; besides, the game textures are not really camo friendly, you can't get exactly what you want, some compromise is necessary... Speaking of compromises, the side skirts should be Painted as well, I left them in black rubber because my techniques do not allow me to get the same sand/green colors on them, so note this as a necessary compromise.

    Not easy to add camo on the T-90, as for the T-64 Bulat, the ERA blocks are not one different than another, and some texture bits are used for both elements of the couple (example: shtora emitters), so, unfortunately, I can't paint only one of them.
     
    I am sure to release both the standard green version and this camo one. Both with the same weathering.

    Thanks for the feed-back.
    After reviewing the tank today I have decided to make another version with a darker tone, it's not a big deal because it can be done in no time.
    I stick with the desaturation because, in any case, darkening saturates the color already. Looking at it should be the original BTR's green.

    At long last...
    ...I have finished and released my Factory Mod Set and the Bitvagorod map.

    A heavily damaged industrial town, based on a large set of modded buildings and other files.

    In short, this is a set of mods that allows you to play in a town that looks a lot more heavily damaged than anything you can get with the stock building and terraing textures. And thanks to CM´s new scenario specific mod tags system, these mods will only show up in the maps that have been designed for these mods (unfortunately, there is one exception: The additional flavor objects in this mod set will work in all scenarios. But that shouldn´t be a problem. More on this later - or read the pdf in the mod set).

    Included is also a map created for the mod set: The fictional town of Bitvagorod - with a large factory complex and an small industrial river harbour.

    This mod set and map has taken nearly six months to create - and is 351 MB large (zipped). It includes 409 BMP files and 24 MDR files. The modded textures are mainly:

    Buildings
    Bridges
    Flavor objects
    Roads
    Terrain
    And a few vehicles turned into flavor objects (a railcar and an old GAZ truck)

    This is primarily a map:
    The btt file Bitvagorod is first and foremost a map - meant for CM players to create their own scenarios/quick battles on.

    There is an axis vs AI scenario included as well, but this scenario is very, very rough and unfinished. It is not at all ready for general release - and I have only included it to give players who don´t have the patience to create their own scenarios a chance to play right away. But play at your own peril!

    I am currently working on a proper scenario for the map, but this will not be finished for probably two months at least.

    A few words of caution:
    The Bitvagorod map has been thoroughly tested with the kind help of several members of this forum, and the tests show that these mods will probably slow down your game - or maybe even make it crash. This is probably because of the large number of files involved. The only way to find out how it will affect your computer is to load the game in CMRT. If the game crashes, it might help to remove some of your other (non scenario specific) mods.

    Also, the use of these mods do have some minor negative effects on gameplay. So to avoid frustration, I strongly advice you to read the PDF file "The boring stuff you need to read to avoid unpleasant surprises" included in the mod set.

    A bit of background
    I have aimed to create a damaged town that looks realistic - more realistic than is possible to make with the stock damaged buildings. Consequently, the core of the mod set project has been to turn some of the current stock buildings into heavily damaged buildings. I had to make this mod set as the damage shown on the stock CMRT buildings didn´t allow me to create a heavily damaged town. A bit simplified the damage on the stock buildings could be described as: Either a large hole in the wall - or completely flattened.

    However, I would like to stress that I don´t think this is due to bad or sloppy work from BFC, but because they have to deliver a game where all the little pieces fit perfectly together. As a modder, I have the luxury of being allowed to make texures that will work in some situations but be completely useless in others.

    I ´ve tried some of this before: Six or seven years ago I made a "Stalingrad-ish" mod pack with damaged buildings for CMBB. I´d been considering doing the same for CM2 ever since the release of CMBN, but I decided against it for several reasons: Firstly, because the way textures are used and displayed in CM doesn´t go very well with making damaged building mods. But more importantly: Making these mods would affect the buildings in all the player´s scenarios, not just the ones they were intended to be used in. That meant that the players using the mods would have to move the mods in and out of their z folder, depending on which scenario they were currently playing.

    Fortunately, that is no longer an issue since the release of CM2 3.0 and the introduction of scenario specific mod tags. The mod tags make sure that the mods will only show up in the scenario that are made for these mods (except for flavor objects, unfortunately). So I thought I´d give it a try.

    I have desaturated and slightly brightened the green color and added layers of dust, dirt, rainmarks, scratches, details etc. and enhanced the normal maps a bit.

    Weathering all green vehicles is never easy, I still have to narrow down the precise techniques to use, so if you have any suggestion please add them as you feel to.

    Kieme CMBS reworked USA uniforms
     
    This mod slightly changes US soldier uniforms, mainly by adding some weathering.
    I decided to go with not excessive weathering because the look of it would be quite horrible compared to the base colors and the camouflage, just a little to avoid the original "fresh new" effect.
     
    Changelog:
    -light desaturation to the base colors of uniforms, helmets, backpacks, camelbacks, large pouches, boots.
    -enhanced details
    -3 layers of dust, dirt, mud applied to the clothing.

    Ported, overhauled and added to, here is my CMBN tree mod tailored for CMBS. Thins out the leaves and sharpens the bark for a more natural look. All files are non brzed, so you can keep what you like and delete what you don't. In addition to the trees and hedge being reworked, I've also included three tweaked ground textures designed to go with this mod (grass, yellow grass and grain). I didn't care for the default grass texture, so I took the one from BN and edited it to fit the aesthetic of BS. The grass texture and distant ground texture are the same lending to a more seamless appearance between map and world box.     Holman got a reaction from Centurian42 in Evolution of the US Army infantry squad. Equivalent histories for other nations?   
    Actually, the game's Bradley fudges reality slightly.  From the manual (pp. 73-74):
     
    "Note: We have artificially increased the passenger capacity of the M2 Bradley to accommodate a full rifle squad. In reality, a full rifle squad cannot fit in a Bradley, so there is a complicated cross-loading routine that results in members of multiple squads mixed together in the platoon HQ Bradley. Needless to say, simulating this is more trouble than it is worth!"

    Start on Strikers...
     
    As a first thing I wanted to make a very good wheel (the original one is still very nice); first of all, I doubled the resolution (HD wheel!) of the original file, then I grabbed the pneumatic (and tread) out of a real striker photograph, changed the colors a bit, and "mounted" it on the original rim.
     
     
    Still needs weathering and maybe a bit stronger normal map (I have corrected the trim after looking at this picture to match the correct scale):

    Special thanks to panzersaurkrautwerfer for this one.
    This mod adds a name to the back of Bradleys turrets. The names are stenciled in low-visibility black color and are based on panzers' advice on the starting letters, only A and B. There's a total of 22 different names.

    I set this up with each part being in its own separate folder to make it easy to use all, or whatever parts you like, and to make it easy to combine parts with other UI mods to make your own custom UI. To combine parts with other UI mods just add a few "Zs" to the beginning of a folders name.
     
    FEATURES:
     
    COLOR BAR MODIFIERS: Changes +1 and -1 to one green or red easy to see bar. Changes +2 and -2 to two easy to see green or red bars.
     
    RIGHT FACING PORTRAITS: Better orientates the visual composition of the UI so the facing of the portraits leads your eye toward the information rather than away from it
    .
    CALL SIGN SOLDIER NAMES: Changes hard to pronounce, or remember names to catchier call sign, nick names, and some historical names. Of course there are some Vin, Vinman, Vinnie Baga Donuts in there, but at the very least it gives you easy access to the file to put whatever names you like. HINT if you want to make changes to the name files make a copy, change, test first in case you erase a >.
     
    CLASSIC C2 FULL COLOR/DETAIL ICONS:  Changes to classics from CMSF.
     
    RIGHT FACING WEAPON SILHOUETTES: Flips them to better accommodate text.
     
    COMMAND GROUP SELECTOR: Changes to clearer, easy to see red border when selected.
     
    EASY VIS COMMAND BUTTONS: Changes to use corresponding colored border when selected to make it easier to see what is selected. Especially useful for seeing Open, Hiding, Deploy Weapon.

    First, special thanks to Marco for updating the mod concept's graphics to better reflect modern warfare. The preview pic shows the light version which keeps the word "spotting" as a filter that can be ignored allowing the more important icons to stand out. The heavy version replaces the word "spotting" with the symbol of an eye. Both versions replace the word "casualty" with a "red cross" in the weapons panel.

    Flips the weapons as shown in the pic to better accommodate the text so it does not cover the weapon graphic.

    This is just an option.
    This mod adds some ERA blocks of a different color (desert yellow). These blocks will be shown on each Bradley in a random fashion, thus making each vehicle different.
    The texture for desert blocks has been imported from the old CMSF.
    If you like the concept, it creates sort of a camouflage.
