Just to add on that, Marco is about to release the Sherman Full Pack. However, it only includes US, FF, and UK Sherman II tanks. Marco will rework the Sherman III/V and Fireflys, ie. add more detail and such. As for the batch files and such. Here's what I do since I don't use the Mod Manger: I unzip the zips into their own folder and then I go VIEW the files in their folder. When a file has several optional versions, I find the one that I want to use and then I rename it to the "normal batch name" like 3330_us_opt to 3330_us. BTW, 3330.bmp is the hull side to the M4/M4A3. Then I copy all the standard _us, _ff, _uk, _ca, _po, _us_lv, _uk_camo, _uk_noncamo files into the BMP folder. Then copy all batch files and icons into the root CMBO folder. Make shortcuts to the batch files, (right click on a batch file--select "Create Shortcut) This will create a generic MS-DOS icon shortcut. Then right click on the shortcut. Select Properties, then select the Program tab, then select Change Icon, Browse to the CMBO folder and select the appropriate Icon. Move Shortcut to a Desktop Folder as Pvt. ALL tanks. As I stated above in the first post, these are both for wide and narrow tracked vehicles. And those are the only styles of tread in CM.

First of all, that's looking very good, Tiger. However just one note, it appears to be a bit too dark. Care to lighten it up a tad?

Oh, somebody mentioned on the Marco Plain Pack preview thread by Old Dog a while back that they could see the mud on the HVSS tracks, when in reality those were the stock textures. Hi guys, Ever wonder why during "muddy" scenarios you could quite tell if the tanks had muddy tracks or not. Well now you can! I have enhanced all three wide tracks (snow, mud, and regular) and narrow tracks (snow, mud, and regular-both U-Shoe and bloc). It was fairly simple really, the details were there originally, they were just subdued and blurry to all hell. By brightening them up and given them a touch of "sharpen", the detail came out. That's all I did for the narrow snow track that was included in Marco's Plain Pack. The newly enhanced narrow mud track looks really good as do the wide tracks. Hey the normal wide track actually has metal "curvy things" on the track plates. So anybody wants these, email me at davem@shawneelink.net. It's a rather small zip file. Matt, Do you believe in UFO's? If so, are they responsible for those pesky crop circles? Just wondering. P.S. Can you pick up satellite TV with your shiny head?

What he means is that maybe the bmp in question, probably 5016.bmp if your talking about Heer uniforms, is probably upside down. Use a paint program of sorts and do a 180 rotate on it. The "back" of the uniform should be on top and the "front", on bottom. If it's reversed on your copy, then that's the problem.

Whoops, that didn't quite come out right, did it? I didn't mean for it to sound like that. What I meant to say was that as a suggestion that they should wait and use better base models and do their mods rather than using the the original BTS textures. Anyway, here's a screenshot of all of the Bergman Canadian mods. DISCLAIMER: The Ram Kangaroo was actually done by DesertFox, but he had "help" from Marco, if you know what I mean. Uh, guys, I hate to burst your bubble, but Marco Berman has the Hi-Res UK, CA, and PO versions coming again for all of the Commonwealth Shermans. My suggestion is to just wait and use his, clone out Marco's nationality markings and draw in your own. At least you'll have a better base model to work with. What I'm saying is that you're wasting your time. Berman's models have a lot more hi-res detail, most notiably in the suspension and hull tops.

Yes, this has been brought up before, but there isn't goingto be any new major improvements on CMBO. This sort of feature will have to wait until CM2.

Well, Here's a version that will go with DD's Grass. I couldn't quite get it to look right with the Velvet Grass. MrClark, you're color pallete was pretty wild. You should have based it on DD's grass or Velvet grass. [This message has been edited by Maximus (edited 02-23-2001).]

Well to get the snowy ones, you have to install them first. And as Blackhorse mentioned they are apparently in their own folder or whatever. In this case, if you simply unzipped the main file directly into the BMP folder, thenyes, they won't show up, because the game only looks at .bmps, not other zips or folders in the BMP folder. I, along with Gordon Molek and Old Dog (Bob Toole), was a tester for this MEGA pack. We have been receiving bit and pieces of this new pack for the past two months it seems. So we've got it scattered around our harddrive in several "updated zip" packs. Uhhmm, there has always been muddy tracks when the the ground is muddy. That's nothing new. Also, while we're on the subject of tracks, I have a new version of the winter narrow track included in this mod. Read the readme and see my contribution. It's actually the original, but brightened up a bit which brought out the snow more. It's funny why it wasn't like this before. The .bmp numbers for a winter mod are the same as the original except put a one (1) in front of the .bmp number. Example: US helmet is 5000.bmp, winter US helmet is 15000.bmp. CM is specially coded to only show winter versions when there is snow on the ground. The game basically looks for any units files that start with a 1 and displays those when there is snow present. Hope that helps.
