Add my vote for returning this feature. I would be curious to know why it was not carried over into the CMx2 series.

Why are so many people bound and determined that their beliefs are the only valid ones? Some folks like the game, others don't. I must admit that after reading a lot of the negative comments on the boards and then getting the demo, the demo came out as a pleasant surprise. I don't think this is CM lite and BFC will improve it w/o a doubt, I'm sure. But I can't help but laugh at the folks trashing CMx1 if they think it will help improve CM:SF's image.

Good luck with the purchase from wherever it works best for you. I hope that you can get the game soon. -

It looks like Gamersgate (Paradox's download store) accepts paypal, but not their webstore which ships physical boxed copies. -

The Beast (NL) doesn't have a credit card and is quite upset that he is being forbidden from buying the game because he doesn't have an acceptable form of payment. And we all know that starting multiple threads about a subject moves mountains around here. (Yes, that was sarcasm.) -
I'll be curious to see how GameSpot handles SF. They were pretty supportive of the CMx1 series.

Not gonna waste my money!!!

You know, sometimes I think watching the firefights here on the forum, tells me that real time is the way to go. And UI is simple to use as well. Some quick battles that erupt and die, and then some longer campaigns that never end. Long live CM:TheForum. -

Was that your entire message? If so, I'm not getting it, but that wouldn't be new for me. -

BFC, to be fair, did warn a long time ago about the huge PBM file sizes. I really can't see them not making them smaller if they could. And yes, despite what some posters say, some people do have file size limitations. There are work arounds, but I can't see BFC keeping the file size big unless necessary. BFC kept the feature in because they were asked to.

I don't know if I am the only one, but the forum sure slowed down for me just recently. This post took minutes to post, obviously I'm not the only one. [ July 30, 2007, 02:15 PM: Message edited by: Darren J Pierson ] -
Not that it matters, but everytime I think about buying the game, I read a really foolish post and decide to keep my credit card in my pocket. These boards are always quite emotional around release times, but the silly "if you disagree with the God that is Shock Force" mentality is quite a turn off. It isn't any worse than the childish rants of the flamers complaining about changes. I know that BFC will listen to well reasoned comments and requests, but it is getting old dealing with hyperbole from both the complainers and sycophants. I'll just send some Matildas across the desert and play Civ IV for a while. Doesn't hurt to save money.

I don't really see the big complaint about people selecting non-typical forces using purchase. Some of us enjoy setting up unique (read: odd or silly) situtation to simply see what would happen. I can see how this could be very annoying in a two player game, but what is so wrong with someone playing solitaire (or with a like minded friend) using a all Stuart vs Puma force? If they have fun, how are they hurting anyone else? edited because os leafing oot sum wordz and gramur. [ July 29, 2007, 03:34 PM: Message edited by: Darren J Pierson ]

If you click on the link for all products you can still find CMC on the secondary page.

I am surprised the BFC hasn't stickied a FAQ thread yet.

Can I use my uberTiger to blow up this train?

I can't believe that a train grog hasn't complained about the venting system on the cars or the signalling system. -

Talk about a trip down memory lane! -
Buildings can only be entered if you have the Holy Hand Grenade of Opening +3 or if you have a Halfling rogue character with a Dex score of 18+ counting armor penalties. Please note that buffing spells are not effective on building opening rolls. Searching on these forums is aided by increasing your spot or detect modifiers. Listen skill points are actually detrimental as careful listening increases the likelihood of mind altering spells being successfully used against you. Signs of this are awakening next to a blow up doll in a Nazi Uniform and/or an urge to purchase EYSA. Be forewarned.

LOL. Fair enough. I thought maybe there was some techical reason that I had missed.

Is the checkerboard the deployment area/offboard indicator? When I first saw it, I thought ToW might suggest a game of chess.

Has anyone asked? Horses? Motorcycles?

That's very kind of you. Guys, let's put more of these units into a couple of missions and sell the game at 499,99$ </font>
