  1. I like the CMFI Demo but, want an expanded US TOE (Armored cars & TD's). What are the planned updates/expansions for CMFI?
  2. What is the correct patch install order for the original SF and Marine & Brit add-on bundle?
  3. I'm sorry to say, I have to agree this game is not as much fun for me. The issue seems to be, it just doesn't seem like WWII, things seem to happen way to quickly (WEGO or RT), weapons seem a tad too quick to target enemies and weapons are bit too accurate/deadly. I've had tank battles last longer in Shock Force then in CMBN. If one could mod in tanks & models from the cold war 1970/1980's, the weapon accuracy and battle tempo won't be far off. Seeing enemy icons but, not the enemy units was ok for modern battles (Shock Force) but, just doesn't seem to work that well for WWII. Despite the rich land scape of Normandy, nothing seems to provide much in the way of actual cover for units. (trenches, foxholes, buildings, etc.). Unit selection in QB's and the Editor are a mess.
  4. It's not just email addressed exposed, the email I got contained my full name and address. Already today I got phishing emails from the IRS, CitiBank, US Census, etc, things I normally don't get!!!!
  5. Odd, I have other software from Battlefront and just purchased the Brit & Marine add-on for Shock Force a few weeks ago, yet MalwareBytes only seems to flag this one with a issue. My Anti-virus software MS-security Essentials didn't flag it either. I've seen MalwareBytes find things (real stuff) other security software doesn't. This is the first time I've seen a false/positive with it, maybe someone from Battlefront should contact them to see if there is an issue and/or see this doesn't get flagged in the future, most likely it's just the license system.
  6. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is reporting Trojan.VKHost Database version: 3873 Windows 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Files Infected: F:\Program Files\Battlefront\Strategic Command WWII Global Conflict Demo\Misc\regsvr32_dx7vbdll.exe (Trojan.VkHost) -> No action taken.
  7. She doesn't need a seatbelt, she's equipped with her own airbags!
  8. In my last few QB's, I've had Brit Infantry vs. Tanks. Brit Infantry don't carry many AT weapons and every time I tried to get my AT (LAWs) in range of the enemy tanks, my troops were always spotting and killed first. Smoke, roof tops, odd angles between buildings, in each case the enemy always shot first. In modern warfare he who shoots first wins! Enemy tanks seem to spotting and killing my infantry before they can target the enemy tanks. I never had this problem with US infantry (better long range AT weapons). Are the Brit's really that bad vs. Armour, what am I doing wrong?
  9. I have CMSF upgraded to 1.21 and now I'm adding the Brits+Marine Expansion, do I need to run the 1.21 upgrade again? I seem to remember when I updated to 1.21, it asked if I had any expansion packs during install.
  10. How about just an end battle button, one that would give you the End of Battle Results, just like a normal ending.
  11. Can any QB map be used with the expansions (Brit, Marines)? Anything I need to do for QB maps made with SF only to be compatible with the expansion packs?
  12. This is why, I'm learning to use the editor now, before CM Normandy's release, figured it would use the same editor. I can't say what I have now is worth releasing, but hopefully I'm getting there!
  13. I've created two maps w/scenarios so far, the first took about 16 hrs, the second about 10, still a newbie with the editor. Both games took about 45 to 60 min to play (small battles). 26 hrs of creation for 2 hrs of game play, those number would have been reversed for CM 1 games. Can't say my creations were any better than those CM 1 QB battles. Yes, the AI editing (control of forces) on the map is much better in CM SF and the maps look better but, not everybody is a good map maker. Anything even a basic terrain generator to help ease and speed up the process with the editor would go a long way.
  14. How many maps have been created for CM SF, less than 50, 75? Without some sort of Map Generator, what makes you think the numbers will be any greater for CM Normandy? It just takes way too much time to create a good map, even a small one with the CM SF editor.
  15. I don't know if CM Normandy will use the same Editor as CM SF. I've just started to use the Editor in CM SF and here are some things I think would make it easier to use. You use units during the map and setup but, groups when setting the AI. There is no way to find a specific group on the map or during scenario test. Hot Keys Hot Keys that will show a specific Group (F2, F3, etc) and it's objectives (terrain, unit) in both on the deployment map and during Scenario test. Basic Map Generator Some sort of basic Map generator, creating even a small map is quit a bit of work.
  16. Weren't smoke grenades used more for signaling and as markers vs. cover? http://users.skynet.be/jeeper/page64.html Allied Phosphor grenades?
  17. I'm trying to create a simple scenario, 2 Objectives, 2 groups, 1 plan. 1. Setup Group 1 at Objective 1, the units hold objective 1, fine. 2. Setup Group 2 at Objective 2, the units keep moving to objective 1. I can't seem to get Group 2 to stay at objective 2? What am I missing?
  18. "Scenario Author Test" I'm not seeing this, where can I find it? CMSF updated to 1.21
  19. I remember some night time city battles with CMBB using only flame tanks and engineers, before the battles were over 70% of the map was on fire!
  20. How do I tell which units are assigned to which groups? Once I assign units to groups, where doesn't seem to be a way to get a list of units by Groups when doing the AI. Highlight by Group on Map Is there a way to Find/highlight Group(s) when on the deployment map (something like F1 showing/highlight units in Group1, F2 - Group2, etc.)?
  21. I would really like to see the ability to custom edit infantry squads with weapons and load outs, also (spare ammo & weapons) carried by vehicles.
  22. Is there a better editor Guild for CM SF, then the manual?
  23. Troops surrendering - This was something missing from CM SF. Smoke grenades - Something never in the original CM games. Ammo, ammo carriers, special weapons - This was something I liked in CM SF, hope we see it in CM Normandy. Buildings - I hope we see buildings and favor items to create a port/dock/water front, radio/radar station, airfield, rail station.
  24. Well maybe after this one, you could help them get JA3 to see the light of day!
  25. Suggestions - Ability to setup patrols for ships/air units. - Filter on list of units a waiting orders (land, sea, air).
