  3. Buzzsaw TOW is not a Combat Mission Game! It was developed by 1C the makers of (Solders Hero's of WWII) not BattleFront. Lockups, did you look at the TOW Tech Support Forum?

  5. The only cover it seems for tanks are buildings! I think the issue is not cover but the relative spotting, where tanks have the same spotting ability as infantry. This is why tanks kill infantry and ATG so easily because they have the same spotting ability. The spotting ability of crews members can increase a lot in just a mission or two with experince. BFC had 1C change increase the ranges for tank battles, but looks like that they didn't modify the relative spotting ability for these new ranges. It's a catch-22 if you reduce the spotting you also reduce the range of tank combat. I hope relative spotting works diferently for CM: Shock Force.
  6. Freaky OT: While I wait for my hard copy, I trying to hack/mod the demo. I was just trying to add an one additional Infantry unit to a group, but a simple cut&paste of <Unit> </Unit> and changing the Unit ID and position didn't seem to work. What am I missing? How do you modify an existing group (add a unit)? Thanks

  8. In Game Messages "I will sometimes see a message IS-2 Can't fire no line of sight" The problem is which "IS-2" if I have more then one on the map? How do I tell which unit the message is from?
  9. So even with a hold order, if you target a moving tank that goes in and out of LOS, the player's tank it will move after it, Huh?
  10. Bridges and Tanks If a tank get's killed on a bridge blocking the path, there doesn't seem to be a way for the AI or player to move it!
  11. So if I have a tank with a hold position order and target an emeny tank (non-Opaque Icon) that is moving (between Opaque and non-Opaque), well my tank move to engage it?
  12. Just based on the demo, I would have to say that relative spotting needs some adjustment, tanks seem to have the same ability to spot Infantry and AT guns. This is why there seems to be no cover in the game, Result Tank sees infantry/AT Guns and bang they are dead. Spotting from Tanks needs to be reduced 50-60%. I think reducing spotting for infantry some what would be a good idea.
  13. I didn't like at first and had issue with the camera at first, change the Camera Options from Free to Center, I know this helped me. Give it another try with some of the mods that have been made for the Demo version.
  14. One would think you would get something for captured equipment? Extra points for new equipment or more reserves.
  15. How come units still move while still have a hold postion order? Does this happen in full game or just the demo? Are they moving to respond to threats?
  16. I think we have all been spoiled by the CM series and hope we will get a TOW expansion pack with additional vehicles and units types.
  17. Hi Freaky In your mod (mod-1.rar) the trenches are not showing up! I copied all files to Theatre of War Demo\Missions\SINGLE_MISSIONS\G015_Seelow have backing up the original.

  19. Hold Postion? I'm having a hard time with getting my units to hold postion. Everytime I manually select a target with one of my tanks to starts moving again, even if the hold button is selected. Do I have to re-select hold every time I target something? What am I doing wrong?
  20. Having only played the demo, I think the combat model and spotting needs some adjustment. Infantry vs Infantry Infantry one shot one kill is very unrealistic. In mission 4 of the demo I took out most of the infantry and 3 AT guns with manual control of the sniper. Tanks vs Infantry What do you call tanks without infantry? Dead! This is as true today in Iraq as it was in WWII, but not the case in this game. Spotting of Infantry by tanks needs to be reduced my 40-50%. Tanks should have a much harder time with infantry.
  21. "At guns kill Infantry very efficiently" Huh! In mission 4 of the demo my one sniper kills the 3 AT Guns and 30 Infantry, I though I was playing SHOWII!

  23. Even if it seems like you are playing SHOWII or Faces of War sometimes when it comes to snipers, this is not SHOWII or Faces of War!
  24. Some Editor Questions. 1. Can you create both missions and new campaigns with the editor? 2. Are there multiple triggers types for things like re-enforcements, airpower showings up? Things like triggers for (map points, time, #number of kills, etc.)? 3. Can up upgrade forces for user created missions/campaigns? 4. Do units gains experince during user created missions/campaigns?   25. Demo Comments The sniper unit seems to be the most powerfull unit, one shot, one kill. Just like SHOWWII, Faces of War, and every other 1C product. I don't like the way units jump from one point to the other once you hit a tigger point on the map. In several mission I carefully move my units into position only to have them moved and re-positioned for me. Who's in control of units me or the computer? Questions 1. Do units jump (reposition on the map) like this during the campaign missions? 2. Does the editor allow you to create both standalone missions and campaigns? Thanks
