  1. US casualties were 4 times larger but I surrendered and still got a draw. Is it a minor bug? Or did my troops performed that well?
  2. How about this: I surrendered to overwhelming power of Allies and got a DRAW! (I did kill 3 times as many tanks as the did...)
  3. Huge tank battle supposedly in Poland's Studianki. Entire Herman Goering division was involved. The village was renamed after the battle to "Panzer Studianki"

As far as I read conscripts were quite likely to desert/panic in their first 3 days of fighting and especially under artilery barage. After that they become quite determine to fight to the death. The soviet veteran squad should as good as german veteran squad! But normal battle should be regular/veteran german squads vs. conscripts/regular Soviet troops. This is how poor quality should be modeled - not by penalizing the squad fire power.

Let me quote a couple of them here: 1) Game is squed toward germans - most of their tanks have stronger shields or more lives then my american tank. 2) Why are there no powerups for my units? 3) Why can't I get the panthers gun after I killed it? Can't I scavange it? 4) Weapon choices are limited just guns really, no BGF or laser cannons. 5) I have not seen even a single labirynth like level. Even houses don't have any rooms!It is always open spaces. 6) I have not seen any interesting equipment (common in Quake) like jump-jets or grapling hooks.
  8. I had tiger killed at 600 meters by hit on weak spot from that 40mm Dailmer gun. The problem was that tiget ignored the Dailmer!

  11. I can make a campain for u if I would be able to figure out what the losses were during the game. I would need Combat mission to dump the losses to the file or at least show them clearly on the screen (I have done campains before - I got some experience)

  13. Hate started when I mentioned that Combat Mission was released on CC forum! I wrote 2 sententences only ! There were mentioning multiple 3D games and I mentioned CM. I was then flamed 10 times and CM was being TRASHED in every way. Soon CMers came to my help. Then CC forum people came to CM forum and Started to trash the game here. I loved CC3 - specially multiplayer... CC4 forced you to play repetitive battles on the same map all the time. PanzerSchreek was a super weapon.

  16. See everyone seems to associate Soviet Union with Russians. But as far as I see there were no Russians in power there. Lenin was "mostly" non russian.
  17. How many Soviet leaders were Russian? I am wondering... Lenin was not russian but some germam/jewish/mongolian?. Stalin was Georgian. Khrustiev was ukrainian. Brezniev? - No idea Gorbachev was Russian. Is this true? If it is sounds like Soviet union was not ruled by russians. Remainds me of late roman empire. (This is not racist KKK thread - I am just wondering)

Most people don't have much idea about how computer works and just don't see (don't want to see) or just don't care enought to see differences between CC and CM. I don't have time for large battles. If you can make it real time you can change "RT speed" easily. So 2x, 1x, 1/4x or 1/10x speed easily is possible.   22. I am for REAL TIME. But it MUST BE AN OPTION. It is not possible to play large battles in real time. Up to 15 units RT battles might be fun. Bigger are not possible. You could slow down real time to say 1/2, 1/4 or 1/10. But for some battles it wil not be enough and I think there should ALWAYS be WEGO system included. In 18 months CPU will be running over 2 GHz. And these will be accesable. It is possible. But might be very hard to do is to rewrite code to add real time option. Actually I like playing turns against computer but against human it is just waste of my time.
