    Picking up weapons

    they are painfully slow at it tho...

    took well over 5 minutes in one game for the 2nd guy in a 2 man rpg team to pick up his buddys rpg and fire on the tank standing 10 meters away blasting away the rest of the troops to its hearts content...

    5 minutes of "medic" status that is... took a couple more minutes for him to actually start "medic"ing

    hehe... thats cos only the first one is played... the one without the _alt addition...

    the other ones are just there for you to pick and choose.. if you want one of the alternate sounds instead of the one ive picked so to speak...

    just delete the _alt addition if you want that sound instead... (dont forget to rename the "original" one first tho)

    Ex. If you want to use the "gun 7 pk_alt.wav" just rename it to "gun 7 pk.wav"

    dont forget to change the name of the "gun 7 pk.wav" file thats already there tho... id suggest renaming it to "gun 7 pk_one.wav" or something...

    hmm... id like to say "its his own damned fault for not readying the mod part of the site"... but its not...

    i for one, however, uploaded my mod there anyway... and once he gets the mod section up and running, ill delete it from the scenario section and upload it again to the mods section... dont much care about download statistics and such anyway...

    still... youre just one of many good artists that were around for the CMx1 games... what happened? did everyone get so disheartened with the bugs that they just up and left?

    aaaaanyway... you could always give us a taste of what youve got in a thread to keep us wanting hehe...

    and you could always put it on rapidshare or something like that for the time being...

    now that we can (finally) mod this game, i wonder where all the great artists of "old" have gone...

    artists like MikeyD, JuJu, Tanks a Lot and the likes...

    why have we seen virtually no graphics mods for this game?

    have you given up on modding? is it that you just do WWII???

    what?

    me personally wouldn't mind seeing some camo mods for the american tanks (yes, i know... blasphemy) and some nice terrain mods too...

    Ok, so version 1.01 with lots more goodies is up... well... uploading anyway...

    so go check it out (much better IMHO, but i would say that wouldnt I?)

    oh and theres another soundmod uploaded by a guy called Mafia, apparently he didnt do any promoting for it here, but check it out too (didnt personally like all the sounds there, but alot of it was good)

    and another thing... how many times have you seen a squad in real life entering a building by just running in one at a time with a spread of a few meters?

    never... thats how many... they line up at the door, breach and enter quickly and as a unit... not hodgepodge like they do in the game...

    they should make an Urban Combat addon where all these issues get the proper attention...

    live with my parents...

    but thats not the point... the fact that i have a computer and internet doesnt mean i bought them yesterday...

    bought the computer years ago...

    i payed for the internet at the end of last month...

    now ive run out of money since i didnt get social support money for this month (apparently they thought that i should manage on one months worth of minimum pay for 1½ month because i was granted welfare in the middle of a month... in december... with x-mas and newyears coming up... the two most expensive days of the year so to speak...)

    EDIT: in fact... i find the whole "if you can afford a computer you cant be poor" thinking very wierd.

    for example... i bought an xbox-360 about 1½ years ago... at that time i had a job... could easily (well maby not easily, but could) afford to buy such a luxury toy...

    now... should my microphone break now i couldnt afford a new one... but what i have heard online 100s of times is the same argument you made here "if you can afford an xbox360 you can afford a mike"...

    somehow people cannot seem to get it through their heads that other peoples economic situations can change... and that just because they own something today doesnt mean they bought it yesterday.
