New Scenario - Expert Attackers Only
Foobar replied to jwxspoon's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
JWXspoon I saw v1.1 up at the depot... I am looking desperately for a scenario that the AI can beat me in. Please send v2.0 my way, and I will give it a shot.. the hard part is finding a way to make the AI beat you, without it being because of the fact that the player ran out of ammo, or that there simply wasnt any realistic way for them to prevail, like being outnumbered 3 to 1 or somefink.. lawsona@home.com Thanks! Not Buying CM2 because .....
Foobar replied to Linda WarChest's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
The great thing about WinXP from what I hear, is that you dont even OWN the copy you buy! Its like renting a service from Windows, where they take over soveriegnty of your computer. Remove 3 pieces of hardware, and the os shuts down. You will not be able to get it to run again until you call their tech staff? the hell??? My brother had a winXP machine that he left connected to the internet, but unattended. MS pinged his computer and tried to gain access 12 times in one hour. I never believed all the crap about them before now. But now that they make os's that wont work with CM I know its all true. The wankers. -
Vengence or Victory...NOW available for Testing.

Very beautiful map. I enjoyed this scenario. I played as Axis, vs the AI, and achieved a Total Victory axis casualties 98 allies casualties 398 I dont know what everyone has experienced, but I am wondering if it would be better to play as Allies, and do the attacking. The AI seems to have trouble suppressing positions before thay assault, and I managed to wipe them up while only committing 25% of my force to the battle. Good show, I love the battle. I only wish I had played against a human, I can tell that it would have been absolutely vicious. -
Will Brummbars Or Sturmtigers Be In CMBB?
Foobar replied to Col Deadmarsh's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)

One Shot - One Kill : Snipers/Sharpshooters

I like to hide them in a patch of woods that is likely to be bypassed by enemies that are attacking me. They are very hard to spot if they remain stationary, and can do a great job of disrupting the enemy once the frontline force has passed by. They wont cause massive casualties, but they can rout platoon leaders, mortars, or suppress an at gun for the entire game. And yes, they often kill Tank Commanders. But dont use them as point men in front line combat situations. It just doesnt make any sense. -

I'm good for 40 bucks. Big spenders like me don't bother with accounting. One of you little people do the math. K? Thanks babe. We'll do lunch -

I want high res train tracks! Get to work, mod slaves!
Foobar replied to Foobar's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
Good progress already. I would love to see the railroad ties in the same color tone as many of the dark wood bunkers, and the rails in a dark metallic. Thank you pud, keep up the good work! -

Bump Bump Bump -
I have Normandy when its clear, DD's terrain when it snows, every high res piece of infantry clothing known to man, winterized marders out the yinyang, and the one thing that still looks "blah" is my train tracks. Has anyone here played around with them, maybe just fading the black and whit a bit, or anything?
