  1. I do a lot of monkeying around with Steam while getting things set up. It hasn't been until a few months ago that it is easier to get to than I had been doing with Windows Explorer. In Steam, selecting the game, Manage and Browse local files will open the Explorer window to the main directory. Making getting to Game Files even faster. (Yes, being a developer gives me access to every Slitherine/Matrix game for free. I didn't buy those other games)
  2. For Steam they will be found in : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Combat Mission Red Thunder\Game Files Unlike where the Battlefront version puts them in Ian's example above.
  3. I have to do it with mine as well. Sometimes after a Windows update it will revert. The most common issue is blurry text with the integrated cards. But I've also seen people not even being able to play the game.
  4. I've moved it to the Tech Support forum. If you decide to get a new rig, good luck. The integrated graphics bit only applies to laptops. For a desktop there shouldn't be an issue. Almost every laptop, even ones with AMD or NVidia dedicated cards, have Intel integrated video cards. Laptops will often try to run the games on the Intel cards, rather than the dedicated cards to conserve power. Running the games on the Intel cards can be spotty at times. That's why I recommend to anyone getting a laptop (not you, Rob) that you get one with a dedicated video card.
  5. I don't think I've needed it before but I will check it out now. Thank you!

  7. Yes. We should be announcing a "Special" tournament in the next few days. The rounds will be shorter and we have a special twist in mind. The tournament is so ready that the rounds have been set up for a couple of weeks now. Slitherine's marketing guys are working on the announcement.
  8. Great job!!!! Congrats!! That would be nice but I think that it is going to need to happen outside the game. Perhaps the best thing to do is to try and communicate through the Matrix forum. Not everyone that joins a tournament is is registered on the Battlefront forum but ALL players are registered on the Matrix site. Also, I've been working with the Matrix/Slitherine about trying to create friendly reminder "poke" emails to remind people that they'd signed up for the torunament. Thanks. I do think that we having the scoring down to somefink that is livable. The best would be if it pumped out realtime CM scores but the game wasn't built for that and too much would have to be rebuilt for it to happen. I agree and think the tournaments are excellent too. The biggest drag is when people go MIA. When they don't it's good fun.

  10. Great news that things are running smoothly. Yes, those are scenario files. I don't know how many scenarios, and which ones, should be with the game. Here is a screenshot of what is in my scenario folder. Check it against yours and, if you'd like, let me know which you don't have and I'll get them to you.
  11. I can't swear that the full version will be better because I don't have the issue with either my full version or the demo. But it sure looks like it was an issue at one time that was addressed in a patch.
  12. It looks like it was. This is from the readme file:
  13. I will send him a PM. The short version is that the original Game Engine 1 will not run on Windows 10 and 11. But I have access to his account and guide him directly.
  14. No. There are no known issues with WASD camera movement. I just opened up mine before replying to this and it was fast and smooth. It may be an issue with your video card. Try making sure the drivers are up to date? What kind of video card do you have? Is your computer a desktop or laptop?

  16. Reinstall the 2.12 patch. Then save it. Then reinstall the 2.13 patch. If you don't I can grab you a link and send it to you.
  17. Each key comes with 4 activations. If you've exceeded that open a Help Desk ticket and send any key that doesn't have remaining activations and we can add some.
  18. Without knowing who you are so that I can see your purchase history.......I am going to guess that you Upgraded to CMSF2. If that's the case, then you need tofollow these activation steps: https://community.battlefront.com/topic/134202-cmsf2-getting-a-splash-screen-with-just-the-tank-firing-in-the-dark-heres-why/ Opening a ticket would probably have had all of the games up and running a week ago.
  19. Correct. Anything that has a download for Game Engine 4 does not require any patching. They are full game installers. What the download is depends on how and when you purchased the game. Some people purchased when the game was at Game Engine 4. That's all they need. Some people purchased the games earlier and then got the 4.0 Upgrade. For them if they download and install the 4.0 Upgrade it is all that they need. Anyone not sure, just open a Help Desk ticket and we can hook you up.
  20. All keys are needed for all games except for CMBN. If you have the original Game Engine 1 and 2.0 Upgrade keys, you don't need them. But use every other key.
  21. It's never a good idea to copy installations from one computer to another. It is always best to install fresh. Copying will usually trigger the anti-piracy software.
  22. Sounds like the same this this person had the other day with Cold War. Do you have any mods installed?
  23. Thanks for the clarification. Somefink isn't right. For starters, here is what the first screen should look like: Yours doesn't even have PBEM++ listed as a choice. But, it does have the login screen. Since I've never seen that before, I'm gonna guess that your installation is borked (technical term). Try disabling your firewall and anti-virus software and re-downloading and installing the game. No need to uninstall what you have. A new installation will overwrite it.
