  1. @ALBY and I just finished Round 2. That may have been the most fun that I've ever had with Shock Force (1 or 2). It really was a hoot. And super fun to see how he was handling the same situation differently than I was. I'm also thankful for his play and commentary while we were going at it. A real pleasure to play against him.
  2. You can determine it yourself, if you use the PBEM++ method. Create a Challenge with whatever size battle that you want. The other players can decide if they'd like to play one that side. And there plenty of people that like all sorts of sizes. Some like only huge battles for PBEM....some only like tiny battles. And everywhere in between.
  3. Use your 3.0/4.0 Upgrade to download and install the entire game. The original Game Engine 1 will not run on Windows 10 or 11.
  4. Whenever I have seen that it is because the patch installer was run out of the only place on their computer that they shouldn't run it. Inside the game's main directory folder.
  5. Unfortunately, this isn't the case. When someone contacts the Help Desk with issues, one of the first things I look for is if they have mods installed. I have some absolutely crazy things happen within the game because of mods. New builds can make previously fine mods to behave poorly. PIAT is pretty much right though. Might as well leave them in. If you have an issue though the first thing to do is remove all mods and see if that fixes it. If it does then reintroduce them until you hit the naughty mods.
  6. That is usually a missing file (or files) in the Data folder. Open a ticket on the Help Desk with a screenshot of the contents of your Data folder and we'll send you the missing file.
  7. The patches are now full game engine patches. This eliminates the step by step patch installation. Because of that they will be complete. The best move is to do like we do with scenarios, saved games, PBEM games and everything else that may change with a patch and back it up before applying the patch. Because your idea is good I will add it to the Readme files. (for what it's worth....I use the default hoykeys and like them just fine and wouldn't describe them as "awful". YMMV)
  8. Whenever I see somefink like this it usually turns out the person has a second account that they didn't realize or had forgotten about. We can check it out if you open a Help Desk ticket.
  9. I have asked about the reminder emails. If it's possible it would be great. The other things aren't gonna happen. In game PM ain't gonna happen. The Slitherine servers aren't able to complete a CM game, so that ain't gonna happen.
  10. This was discussed at great length. And no. Email addresses will not be sent to people for tournaments. However, your opponent does appear to have a Battlefront forum account and has been online in the past 7 hours. You can always send them a PM. @alwaysfish
  11. The scoring should be straightened out with what we are currently using. Regardless of how a battle ends, time runs out, surrender, ceasefire, the final end of game score should be reflected on the leaderboard. It looks like that is the case with @ratdeath's surrender. One of your battles shows that you received 2,000 points and he received 518. That would make sense in a surrender. You got the maximum amount of points for the battle (2,000) and he got what he got based on in game casualties caused. You should be able to see the end results though, through the game. No matter how the battle ends. I had the same thing in the first round. What happens is that you receive points and the other player is booted from the tournament.
  12. That's right, folks! We rarely have sales but in honor of Red Thunder being on Steam we're offing all of our games that are on Steam at a discounted price. Not just bundles!! Is there somefink that you've been considering but haven't pulled the trigger on? Now is the time! Red Thunder Battle for Normandy Cold War Shock Force 2 Black Sea All reduced for a limited time.
  13. With the release of Combat Mission Red Thunder on Steam comes the introduction of the PBEM++ system and Tournament feature to CMRT. In addition to these features we've been able to take care of a few bugs. Plus, some of the scenario and campaign designers can't help themselves and have tinkered with some scenarios and campaigns. These new versions are in the patch too. The new versions will override the previous versions. If you want to keep the originals then move them out of the Scenario and Campaign folders before installing the patch because the patch will overwrite what you have. Here's the list: Scenarios: BP1 Polosa Deistviya BP1 Lesson 2 SPW Tactical Reconnaissance BP1 Heart Of The Dying Sun BP1 Bridgehead at Rakow Campaigns BP1 Tigers at Ogledow FR Night at the Opera Soviet FR Night at the Opera Axis FR The Battle of Tukums Here are the changes in the patch: * FIXED: 3D modeling has fixed turret issues with Pz IIIG * FIXED: MP-507 no longer fires full auto, now it’s only be able to fire semi-auto * FIXED: Panther Ausf D model had the hatch open in the opposite direction, and some of the spare tracks are textureless.
  14. Important: The key that is used to get you Steam key is your CMRT key.
  15. You're better off trying to get a ceasefire, just from a score point of view. But a surrender will generate a proper CM score that will replace the running score. Your opponent does have a Battlefront forum account and was online as recently as 4 hours ago. @Fizou
  16. I also see that the leaderboard correctly moved our running score. You took out 1 man in each of the battles on my most recent exchange and I see that you got 6 points and I got 2.
  17. I was pretty happy that I had a uncon plan that worked. I got enough men able to provide covering fire while I moved in close and took out a couple of your teams. It felt nice getting in close and not taking any returning fire while I wiped them out. Your moves as Blue are a mystery to me because I can barely see anyone. I know you took out one of my teams but other than that I don't have a hard spot on anyone.
  18. It's still early but I'm not getting slaughtered!!!!!...............yet.
  19. IT may be the AMD driver and it may be that your anti-virus software blocked some of the installation. Check out this thread for the AMD driver. If that doesn't help, open a Help Desk ticket and include, if you can, a screenshot of the contents of the game's Data folder. https://community.battlefront.com/topic/141554-amd-228-series-breaks-game-again/
  20. Looks like this was posted last night after I'd taken my oldest out for her birthday. I did check the Help Desk before going to bed but not the forum.
  21. Battlefront may not have screwed up your weekend. Somefink else on your system may have. It's always best to reach out to tech support rather than flounder taking guesses. But that is just one persons opinion. I have no tickets that have not been replied to. I reply 365 days a year. I work on the Help Desk on Christmas, Thanksgiving, on the golf course, Saturdays, Sundays, if I am awake and near my phone (I got a dead sexy Samsung Galaxy Z Fold) or my computer then I am on duty. So that accusation is very unfair. There is too little information in this ticket to help much. If you open a ticket, we'll be happy to help. If not, the link that @Brille posted sounds like it may be what you're looking for.
