  1. If you're looking in your account and not seeing the other purchase then the chances are that you have more than 1 account (more common than you'd think). Open a Help Desk ticket and we'll get it sorted out for you: Help Desk
  2. When they are released they will not be exclusive to the Steam version. Heck, they'll probably be available for the Battlefront version before the Steam version. @CHEqTRO I can confirm that they have not been released.
  3. Yes, that is the glitch that Lethaface saw and Probus and GeorgeMC saw in the Cold War tournament. That will (should) self correct. Maybe tomorrow ...maybe when the next turns are played. We're looking into it but I'm not super concerned about it at this time. My #1 concern is that the in game end scores are what appear on the leaderboard when a battle is finished. My #2 concern is that, during most of the tournament, players have a loose sense about who has dealt out more causalities. The glitch that you're seeing could be somefink that the game is pushing out or could be somefink that the Slitherine servers aren't processing correctly. There have been a couple sightings of it but in all cases it's fixed itself.
  4. That makes sense. Does the score go out as soon as both people watched the movie? Or after 1 person has watched the movie? Or the turn after both people have watched it? I don't know. The thing that I can the absolute most about is that the end game AAR screen scores match what the leaderboard has once a battle is completed. The rest is only a loose idea of who is causing more casualties than the other. And that rarely is a reflection on who wins a battle, once other victory conditions are added at the end.
  5. @IanL as the person who is seeing the battles from the other side......Is this how it has played out with what you see on your end? Or are you seeing casualties that maybe Andrew isn't? Driving me nuts? It's a short drive to drive me nuts.
  6. Also, the confirmation emails always have the download links. If you didn't see the confirmation email it may have ended up in your spam folder.
  7. That's the plan. The next will be Normandy. Before we start it we want a good idea how the new scoring system is working.
  8. Wow. You got a perfect score in one battle. Well done! You should definitely have seen the end game AAR for both battles. All of the testing I did resulted in getting them both. I suppose that it's possible that he didn't complete the last turn that would have generated it for you. It's the surrender game that you didn't get, correct? I'll make sure to check that as well. Thanks.
  9. My man over at Slitherine/Matrix is planning to reach out to the tournament "no shows" tomorrow. He has access that I don't have.
  10. You played it? Or tried to play it already? I'm back in....the servers are up. My opponent still hasn't played their turn.
  11. Funny you should say that. My guy at Slitherine just sent me a message with the same screenshot. I was able to duplicate it by trying to log in through the game. Our best guess is that the servers are down. They are checking into it.
  12. Somefink similar happed to @Probus and @George MC toward the end of the last Cold War tournament. Like yours, it righted itself. We'll keep an eye on it to make sure that both battles correct. I unrelated news....I'm being stood up by my opponent. Does anyone know Bellhuey?
  13. There is. Page 30 of the most up to date manual. Depending on your installation you may not have the most up to date manual. Cold War has it for sure. I'll make sure that it is part of any patch going forward so that, if there have been changes to the game manual a new version will be part of any patch. Here is a link to it: Game Engine 4 Manual Try not to think of it as Steam thing because it isn't. It is a Combat Mission thing associated with Matrix/Slitherine. When you login for PBEM++ you are connected to the Matrix server. That is where the turn files are stored. It doesn't matter if you're using the Battlefront version of the game, or the Steam or the Matrix, that login is what connects you to your PBEM++ games. That is why you can have a Steam installation on one computer, a Battlefront version on a computer at your best friends house and Matrix version installed on your Mom's computer and access your PBEM++ battles wherever you log in.
  14. Ian is exactly right. You can use either. You can start a PBEM++ with the Battlefront version, play some turns with the Steam version, switch back. etc...
  15. The best would be if the game was capable of pushing out the score you would see in a ceasefire each turn. But CMx2 will never be able to do that. I think this may be the best workaround. Lord knows we talked about enough options while it was being coded.
  16. Yes. And, if I understand correctly, that is the case for all Matrix tournaments
  17. Could be.....I may change that. Correct, with PBEM++ they can't get the file.
  18. It can be. The funny thing is that I have left mine blank for a decade or more. I figured if some cheater tried to guess my password they may not guess no password. Also, no one needs to cheat to smoke me. I'm the easiest win that exists.
  19. Nope. The Challenges are people looking to play someone. If it has an * next to it then it needs a password set up by the person who created the Challenge. That's for things like if I said "Yo, Weapon2010, wanna play a game? I'll set it up with this password ". The Challenges without that are for people looking for a game and don't care who they play. Also, you don't have to check for your turns. You'll get an email notification when your opponent has sent their turns.
  20. Yes. You are playing both sides of the same battle. The bit that prompts for your user name, password and email address is your Matrix login. The other one can be left blank. PBEM++ is cheat proof.
  21. You're in. Go the the Saved Games area. Select the In Progress option from the dropdown menu. If you're not already logged in you will be prompted to log in. You'll see 1 or 2 files ready to be played. 2 if your opponent has already played their first turn.
  22. Surrender will give you the in game CM score for someone surrendering. Doesn't finish, the running score will be the final score. Never shows up, I believe is the same as if you don't have an opponent, 1,000 points for each battle. I will double check that on Tuesday. They are gone for the day and because of the holiday won't be back until Tuesday. No opponent because there is an odd number of players, 1,000 points. This tournament has an even number of players, so this shouldn't come into play.
  23. The player who causes the most casualties in a turn gets 3 points. The other player gets 1 point. The subsequent turns will add to those scores with the same 3 or 1 points. At the end of the battle, those scores will be replaced by the in game final score. This is why, unlike the last Cold War tournament you want to complete the battle now because the end score will be higher than the running score. The point of the running score is to give a loose sense of who is causing more casualties and does not reflect any of the in game victory conditions. Combat Mission was not built to push running scores for in game victory conditions. It would take re-writing a MASSIVE amount of code for it to do that. An amount of programming time that we would not spend.
  24. That is correct. If you purchased 2 copies in one order the key comes with 8 activations instead of 4.
