  1. Correct. It is what appears on the Store screen. It is no different than the artwork on the cover of our DVD cases. Frankly, when I saw it I thought it was the best one of all the Steam pictures so far. When you go to the store page there are plenty of in game screenshots and the video posted above.
  2. They usually post it on the YouTubes. I haven't found that yet but they did post a recap web page. I LOVE the Fortress Italy video that @Hapless made. https://www.matrixgames.com/news/what-happened-at-home-of-wargamers
  3. When you made that comment the other I made a note to remember you today because I knew we'd be doing this.
  4. Combat Mission: Cold War Grand Tournament The Tournament will begin Sept, 25, 2023 and you can join now. This Tournament will feature 3 rounds with 3 different scenarios. Valley of Ashes – US vs Soviet meeting engagement at dawn Recover and Attack – M1 tank recovery. US attack Civil War Within – 1980 - There has been a underground movement in Ukraine to break away from the Soviet Union, but its out in the open now, and it has lead to war. Before joining the tournament, please take a moment and carefully read these instructions that are specific to all Combat Mission Tournaments!!! - Because of the way that Combat Mission’s original “play by email” system works, both game files have an in-game field for password protection of the file. This field should be left blank. For the Axis side the password has been selected before the battles were sent and that field is to be left blank. You can use a password for the Russian side but it isn’t needed because the Tournament feature handles protection from cheating without using the in game system. - The Tournament will have you playing 2 individual battles where you are playing both sides of the same battle. If you get into the game before your opponent, you will see 1 game turn to play. If your opponent has gotten there first then you will see 2 turn files and each turn thereafter should have 2 files. - Once a tournament begins you will receive the files in the "Saved Game and PBEM"; drop menu under Automated PBEM++ In Progress. You will receive email notifications when your opponent has sent you turns. - You will need a Matrix user name and password to play any tournament (or PBEM++ battle). If you don't have one already you can get one here: https://www.matrixgames.com/login Sign up now either through the game or here: https://www.matrixgames.com/tournaments

  8. · Steam keys will be available to anybody who purchased the game, no matter where they purchased. All users will get steam keys by creating an account with Matrix/Slitherine to redeem a steam key. The reason for this is Matrix already have a process to distribute the keys and Battlefront didn’t and it would have been a lot of work for them to create such as system so it felt simpler to use a system that already works. Sorry for the inconvenience of anyone who needs to create an account because of this. · Once you have an account you can redeem Steam keys in the normal way by following these instructions - https://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=93585 · Note that if you bought a bundle from Battlefront you will only have one serial for all the games in the bundle. To redeem all the pieces of your bundle as Steam keys you will need to register that serial for each part of the bundle. E.g. if you purchased the base game and Gustav Line bundle you would register that serial twice, once to the base game and once to the DLC. Each will generate a unique Steam key for that piece of content on Steam and must be redeemed on Steam separately. · When purchasing a bundle on Matrix/Slitherine you will receive a serial for each part separately. · The versions on Matrix, Battlefront and Steam are identical apart from some minor changes to make the game compatible with Steam. Steam requires all the game content to be in the install folder so the placement of some files will be different to the Battlefront version but this is all behind the scenes and the features are identical. Multiplayer is possible between versions. · Customers who buy from Matrix/Slitherine will have access to the Matrix installer and a Steam key. Customers who buy from Battlefront will have access to the Battlefront version and Steam key. Matrix/Slitherine customers will not have access to the Battlefront version and vice versa. · Any Steam key redemption issues should be reported to the Matrix forum, as Battlefront are not able to help with that. · Other tech support should be requested at your point of purchase but both companies will try and help out anyone who has an issue if they can. Obviously any order issues can only be investigated by the site you purchased from as neither company has access to that kind of info for the other. · If you have any questions or problems please let us know and we will do our best to help.
  9. We don't often have sales but one began just now.
  10. Also, everything that we offer on Steam is on sale on the Battlefront website.
  11. Slitherine will be holding their Home of Wargames event today at Noon EDT. Combat Mission will be the 2nd game discussed. The announcements (yes, there will be 2 new announcements) should be around 12:10 EDT. Here's a link to the link: https://www.matrixgames.com/news/home-of-wargamers-live-event-announcement
  12. That was what I was thinking with the default keys. It would confuse me to change them at this point.
  13. I use the default hotkeys and I'm very used to them. @Artkin may have some that work better. He should upload his hotkey file. Then you can compare the 2 and see if one works better for you than another. It may get confusing to you, as a new player, to hear a suggestion to change your hotkeys without a suggestion of what to alter them to.
  14. Nope. Thanks. I'll keep you posted on what we find out. I'll get you a link to the v1.06 patch because you're gonna want that. Fortunately, as a Mac player this will mean almost nothing to you. The only Mac fix was a gun holster for some US crews.
  15. We've testers that didn't experience either. That's why I released. It seemed to be limited to only his system.
  16. Any. The issue that our tester saw, and @Halmbartehas screenshots of, is units with funky names. See how his has formation names like Rino Battalion 31. If you have the issue, you won't need to look real hard to be able to tell.
  17. I meant for you to remove ALL mods from the Data folder. I have seen mods do all manner of odd things over the years but the #1 thing I have seen them do is what you're seeing. Mods that were compatible with v1.05 or 1.06 may not be compatible with v1.07. If you remove the mods and find that it clears things up, then reintroduce the mods a bit at a time until you trigger the naughty mod(s).
  18. Oh wow. You have more than just that folder at the top. And they aren't in a Z folder. I'm surprised that your game is running at all.
  19. That is, essentially, what our beta tester had. @kohlenklau is correct. That is usually a sign that a brz file is missing. There is a new brz file in the patch (cold war v107.brz). If you don't have it then that is your issue. Our tester does have the brz file.....We're still scratching our heads about what is going on with him.
  20. Thanks. One of the beta testers had a weird graphic thing that no one else saw. Eventually I decided to just release it anyway.
  21. Thanks. It did a funky thing (technical term) when I was moving the files. I deleted the duplicates.
  22. Can any Mac players drop me a note after installing the patch? Thanks.
  23. The title says it all. This is a very small patch. The main purpose is to add the newer Tournament scoring system. The only other change is a small graphical glitch. https://www.battlefront.com/patches
  24. *guilty ducking of me head* I haven't tried any of them. Way way way way back in the day I played Close Combat. But then CMBO came out and I never looked back.
