@Col Edge During checkout in our store you can add a physical disk to your order for all purchases that include the base game. For instance, if you purchase the Fortress Italy Big Bundle you can add a DVD to that purchase. If you order the Gustav Line module only then you cannot order a DVD. Mostly because, if your installation is up to date, you already have it installed. There is no Gustav Line module that can be installed anymore. Battlefront is the only place that you can purchase Mac versions of the games. If you have both Mac and Windows computers you can use your Battlefront license key to get the Steam version for your Windows computer.

Yeah. You'll have it for 30 days after the tournament ends. -

You're right. It doesn't. I've asked them if there is any way to resend your initial file. -

The only explanation is that you accidentally hit a key (or keys) when you first opened the initial file and created a password. -

Is that with the initial time that you had a turn from that side or was it the 2nd file that you got? -

You've got me for the Red Thunder Round. Which makes you lucky in 2 ways. 1) I'll turn the files over in plenty of time to play the whole Round. 2) You've got easy wins coming your way. @Holien has me for the Normandy Round. He's going to get the same benefits that Suzuya will get. -

Our previous ones haven't been this short. The idea with this was to make 3 simultaneous quick tournaments and bang all 3 out as quickly as possible. -

I'll ask to have 10 days added. That will start Round 3 10 days later. -
This one apparently slipped through the fingers of the TO&E person. They've reached out to Charles to see about a quick patch and were told "We can do a quick patch, but not this week." Thank you for the nudge.

Combat Mission Grand Tournament

I've been been working with our friends at Slitherine since I made this post. Part of the issue was that there was some bug found. I wanted somefink to pass on to you guys so asked a couple of questions and I have gotten responses that make some sense. Here are the questions and answers. I hope this clears things up some and gives an idea of what to expect going forward: 1) What was intended to happen when the scoring adjustment was made? What were we hoping it would do? "If a game hadn't finished, then the person who had taken the longer time to play (so, who held up the game the most) would be flagged as the loser for the purpose of the scoring algorithm and some of their score would be added to the other person. If a game had been completed, the score should have remained the same." 2) What is the nature of the bug that was uncovered? "The bug that occurred was that even when a game had completed, scores were affected in a similar way, and were lowered. And even when the game hadn't completed, the 'winner' (as in, the person who had played the most) shouldn't have had their score lowered either. This bug should now have been fixed, so that winners' scores and completed games scores won't be lowered." -

It looks like more days can be added. The question then is do we really want to? Both of my Normandy battles were finished last week. Do you think that 5 days is enough? Again, it seems like it can be adjusted but how much do we really want to adjust it? -

Wow!! Your "Joined" date is even older than mine!! I am October '99. If you have the games through the 4.0 Upgrade then not much has changed with the game engine. More content has become available. You can now pick up PBEM games through the game itself, in addition to talking to people here and looking for a game. -

Yes. Any download of the game that uses Game Engine 4 will have downloads for both Mac and Windows version and the license keys are cross platform -
The server is back up.

They will be timed out and you should be given 1,000 points per battle. I should have official confirmation on that early in the week. -

You kilt 6 T-34s in a single turn. Ouch. -
ALWAYS leave the passwords blank in tournament battles. From the tournament announcement posts: "Before joining the tournament, please take a moment and carefully read these instructions that are specific to all Combat Mission Tournaments!!! - Because of the way that Combat Mission’s original “play by email” system works, both game files have an in-game field for password protection of the file. This field should be left blank. For the Axis side the password has been selected before the battles were sent and that field is to be left blank. You can use a password for the Russian side but it isn’t needed because the Tournament feature handles protection from cheating without using the in game system. - The Tournament will have you playing 2 individual battles where you are playing both sides of the same battle. If you get into the game before your opponent, you will see 1 game turn to play. If your opponent has gotten there first then you will see 2 turn files and each turn thereafter should have 2 files. - Once a tournament begins you will receive the files in the "Saved Game and PBEM"; drop menu under Automated PBEM++ In Progress. You will receive email notifications when your opponent has sent you turns. "
