  1. I don't understand what you are saying with the bolded bits. No one who has purchased a Battlefront has ever gotten the same key as anyone else who ever purchased a game from us. Never. Not with any Combat Mission title. Not with any Strategic Command game. Not with any Theater of War game etc etc etc. I don't understand what you are saying. .(psstt....it's in the original post. )
  2. Yup. That is what this part of the original post about getting Steam keys was saying:
  3. The people that will see this are folks whose purchase of the base game was with Game Engine 1. That used a different activation system than anything from Game Engine 2 on. I have a way around it though. It just takes a little voodoo ninja work. We were prepared for it.
  4. Anyone that gets this message should open a Help Desk ticket and we'll get you fixed up. https://battlefront.mojohelpdesk.com/
  5. Heya Runyon99!!!! I'll never forget that battle you thumped me in. It was huge and you tore me apart. Open a Help Desk ticket.
  6. Important: The key that is used to get you Steam key is your CMBN key.
  7. At Battlefront we've never used, although we understand, the expression DLC. For CMBN's release on Steam this Monday it refers to everything that is currently available. To eliminate any gray area.....The Steam release will have the Commonwealth and Markets Garden modules and the Vehicle Pack and Battle Pack 1 available for purchase on the 28th. If you currently own any of them, instructions for getting Steam keys, at no additional charge, for what you own will be posted on the 28th (spoiler alert....the instructions will look a lot like the CMSF2 redemption instructions)
  8. Excellent. And excellent question. Our sometimes coder Phil has been looking into this. The great thing about that is his computer experiences it! I'll run this by him and see if he has any ideas on what he can share. Thanks!!
  9. It seems the link to support was broken. It's been fixed. Here it is. : https://battlefront.mojohelpdesk.com/ Mention this thread and any key(s) that you're having trouble with.
  10. Well.......That was real weird. I got the same message (Chrome). I got a "new" link and replaced it and it now seems to work correctly. The "weird" part was that the link is exactly the same as what was there before. Regardless......It's back. Thanks for the heads up.
  11. Yes. The download is an all-in-one full game installer. People can join the tournament right up until the moment it starts.
  12. It is not too late at all. You can join the battle from within the game or the Matrix site: https://www.matrixgames.com/tournaments
  13. Good luck! And by "good luck" i mean that I hope you draw me. Everyone who plays against me slaughters me.
  14. Anyone who signed up for the first beta tournament needs to sign up for Beta Tournament 2. The issue that @ratdeath discovered has been cleared up. It's possible that Matrix may email everyone who had signed up.
  15. Yes, in a bit you'll be asked to re-join the tournament using Beta 2. @ratdeath found somefink that required that we reset it up.
  16. I was really on the fence because 50 days is a loooooooonnnnnnnnngggg time per round. I wanted to make sure that everyone had enough time. If people finish early then they sit back and wait for Round 2 to start.
  17. Yes, because I set them. 50 days per round. One round is 50 minutes and I think another is 45. I wanted to make sure everyone has enough time.
  18. No but you're putting yourself at a disadvantage. If you were to complete the game (DON'T DO THAT) any units remaining on the map would count as casualties. Any units that have exited won't nor will they if you stop playing the battle before the end of turns (DO THIS). The disadvantage is that you don't have those units to inflict casualties.
  19. We've changed the start date until April 6th to get this fixed.
  20. No. That isn't it. Thanks for the heads up. Working to clear that up now.
  21. I just gave mine the dismount orders. I'll keep an eye on mine. Anyone else see this?
  22. We love money at Battlefront but you should never repurchase one of our games that you already own. If you run into a problem, open a Help Desk ticket and we'll help you out. We have absolutely no control over the icons on Steam installations. I suppose if we really hated one and raised a stink they would probably listen to us. The interesting thing is that the Matrix version uses the same icons as the Battlefront versions!
  23. Combat Mission: Shock Force 2 Beta Tournament Join the first tournament for Combat Mission: Shock Force 2. Due to this being the first one, we are classifying this as ‘Beta Tournament’, so please bear with us if there are any issues. The Tournament will begin March 16th and you can join now. This Tournament will feature the new Tournament scoring system. So, unlike the current Cold War Tournament, you'll want to finish each battle. This Tournament will feature 3 rounds with 3 different scenarios. Round 1: Matrix Tournament #1: A 25 minute battle of a US patrol against a Syrian ambush. Round 2: Ambush in al Fubar: A 50 minute battle. Stryker platoon is stopped by an ambush. Rescue is on its way, but will it be too late?. Round 3: Wadi Scouts: A 45 minute battle. Stryker cavalry unit is tasked with scouting out defenses along a Wadi. Before joining the tournament, please take a moment and carefully read these instructions that are specific to all Combat Mission Tournaments!!! - Because of the way that Combat Mission’s original “play by email” system works, both game files have an in-game field for password protection of the file. This field should be left blank. For the US side the password has been selected before the battles were sent and that field is to be left blank. You can use a password for the Russian side but it isn’t needed because the Tournament feature handles protection from cheating without using the in game system. - The Tournament will have you playing 2 individual battles where you are playing both sides of the same battle. If you get into the game before your opponent, you will see 1 game turn to play. If your opponent has gotten there first then you will see 2 turn files and each turn thereafter should have 2 files. - Once a tournament begins you will receive the files in the "Saved Game and PBEM" drop menu under Automated PBEM++ In Progress. You will receive email notifications when your opponent has sent you turns. - You will need a Matrix user name and password to play any tournament (or PBEM++ battle). If you don't have one already you can get one here: https://www.matrixgames.com/login Sign up now either through the game or here
