  1. BFC has stated that they would like to see hit text implemented in the SF. I know that I will be pushing for it in 1.05 or USMC Module. I don't see them going to the mission log feature though. That is just my speculation. [ September 28, 2007, 10:52 AM: Message edited by: Huntarr ]
  2. It all started back in the Middle Ages with the turf-dwellers of Romford. These hard working peasant folk lived in low grass covered houses on the banks of the Thames. In order to enter or leave one of these Squatts as they were known, a piece of turf or sod would be lifted away from the door opening. The term "sod off" was thus coined to mean "The door is open, feel free to leave". This term eventually replaced such phrases as "Well, don't let me keep you", "My, is that the time?" and "We must have lunch together one day". Interestingly the term "sodding" was often used to refer to unwelcome guests due to the work of lifting the sod to see who's there. This is still in common use today as in "Oh bugger, it's the sodding Jehovah's Witnesses". If you are very interested you could find a copy of "England as it is spoke" by Queen Victoria's brother Albert, written shortly before he was eaten by the lion.
  3. He doesn't know what he is talking about. He is just bored and running off at the mouth. The one's who do know if a feature was added or not within the last 5 mins are the Devs and Betas. Redwolf clearly is not either.
  4. For what? For moving a label that never should have been in the middle of the screen in the first place, the effort being a change of one coordinate in the source code? Best regards, Thomm </font>
  5. I think 1.04 is going to make a lot of folks eat crow and want to hug BFC for the unprecedented willingness to take feedback and make it happen.
  6. Well testing the 1.04 I noticed that I get a FULL 60 sec replay of the action. I was stunned at all the action that you see from every possible angle. What's cool is that every turn after that I could replay the action. Damn WeGO was fun. BTW I typed this in RT...it was still boring.
  7. WW2Wargamer you are a Man's Man. I commend you for taking the time to address these children. You Sir have the patience of a Saint. I for one don't even want to try anymore, to give them any sense of hope whether or not BFC will live up to their hype. They don’t care. They are simply trying to bring some form of purpose to an otherwise meaninglessly existence. It’s a GAME children! I even took the time to violate an NDA but that was not enough. F$#@ em. There are a select few that continue to poison the forum with negative unconstructive rhetoric. The whining unwashed masses aren’t worth your time sir. But again I commend you for making that effort.
  8. holy crap.... WTF was that? Slaphappy did you touch your monkey on that one?
  9. I can say since I was brought in to Beta the USMC Module. The issues that I saw in Aug have been addressed. NDA disclaimer
  10. x is that you did not complete that objective. RTFM pg.24-26 102 & 103
  11. It was a passive aggressive poke at BFC, clearly.

  13. both my young grasshoppa Balance is what is needed IMHO. It's a game that has limitations and rules. One of the problems that seems to be the case is that we don't have a clear set of rules. That is causing confusion and frustration. Time is going to be what shows us what we can and can't get away with in this game. The good thing for us is that BFC seems willing to listen and adjust things to make it more enjoyable.
  14. Clearly you've never served. If you notice your infantry move rather well in formations such as hunt, assault, and move. When you give fast and quick they move to a more strung out formation, which is accurate. I'm not saying they don't need to work on the TacAI reactions to fire. I am saying that a lot of problems are from bad tactics. My only complaint to the regrouping is when you cancel the last waypoint, you get the snap to grid which can get you killed. That could be solved with the introduction of drag enable waypoints.
  15. Hey there Sparky since when is 1 opinion of 8.1 multiple USERS? Since you were probably the only one to post there. That evaluation means jack. Go back and read pg. 8 again.
  16. http://www.dtic.mil/ndia/2002gun/becker.pdf read the above paper The fragmentation effect, NOT the explosive [ November 21, 2007, 09:25 PM: Message edited by: Huntarr ]
  17. The speed of the cone can be sped up. I don't like the scaling of the burst. It is the same at long range as it is short range. It looks silly at long range. The burst is massive. Here is an Mil file for those who think airbursts are spherical explosions. They are conical in effect. http://www.dtic.mil/ndia/2002gun/becker.pdf [ November 22, 2007, 12:25 PM: Message edited by: Huntarr ]

  22. NDA precludes me from giving you more than "optimistic speculation" since I am using 1.04. If you would like me to use search and get you several answers from Steve specifically than I will simply do a recent posting of all his comments to date. Anyone can do this just click his name and look at his recent posts. Here is a listing for you to view. http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=recent_user_posts;u=00000042
