  4. This is just a reissue of the original scenario. I changed the name due to my appalling hash of the German language which was kindly pointed out by Dasmorbo who also gave some more accurate and grammatically correct options. Unfortunately changing the name resets the reviews so although the number of downloads stay put the ratings and reviews are reset to zero. Still I'd appreciate any and all feedback, ratings etc About the Scenario You will need your game patched to 2.01. In this scenario a small German armoured kampfgruppe (Panzers and SPW) launches a pre-dawn raid on an Allied held position (consisting of Infantry and AT guns) centred on several small villages and farms. The scenario is primarily designed as a challenging German Vs AI combined arms fight. In it the German player can trial a variety of tactical choices. The Allied AI has around four distinct AI Plans. As such it will also make an ideal training scenario for those new to combined arms tactics. THERE IS NO GERMAN AI PLAN. This is due to the nature of the challenge facing the German side – a challenge that in this case the AI cannot do (it cannot remount half tracks for example).Forces on either side are reinforced company so it’s manageable to play in both RT and WEGO. The map is 1.6km square. This can also be played H2H. I’d suggest that the less experienced player takes the Allied side.

  8. Thanks to Blutopie for playing STA and leaving a review. Glad ya enjoyed sneaking about with lot's of armoured vehicles in the dawn murk! The sun rising caught me out a few times when the range suddenly increased and my AFVs were stuck out in the open like sore thumbs...
  9. Go to editor - appropriate side (Allied/Axis) then select 'Terrain Objectives'. Paint the point on the map where you would like units to exit then change (left hand side) the criteria to EXIT. Change whether it is known and to who, assign points and write a description for what it is. Simples!
  10. Hi Guys Cheers for the positive words. Nice to feel wanted My PC is not all that big a deal. I'm at work right now but the spec is pretty average I guess. The windows experience rating (FWIW) is 5.9 - that's due to my old hard drive. Without that hard drive in the mix it gets a 6.9 (just got myself a GTX660Ti graphics card. prior to that my windows experience overall was 5.9). When I designed and played 'Firebrigade' that's what i was suing (the 5.9 rating). In CMBN prior to 2.00 I believe there were some out of memory issues but these were all fixed in 2.00 I've played 'Firebrigade' since then with no issue. It is worth noting though that large scenarios od push PCs. If your PC is at the lower end of the recommended spectrum for CMX2 then i suspect that large scenarios will crate issues with memory. I think CMSF may have some old style OOM issues. I've encountered them when building this scenario in the editor. In saying that I've played this new CMSF scenario right through with no issues. For some reason I only get the memory issues when in the editor. If in doubt I would save often so if the game does go pop you can at least resume your game. I'm pretty much close to having a beta version of this. I'm tweaking some Red AI Plans. Still have the Red briefing to do and the tac etc maps. I had hoped to get this done over the weekend but things ere a wee bit more hectic than initially planned. So realistically it may be the end of the week before this is all done. The scenario is broadly based on the 'Zone Recon to LOA Steelers' I can't mind which one that is (3-96??!) but I have tweaked it to make it more of a varied and engaging scenario (least ways I hope so!).   11. I can't do 4km maps with rolling terrain, villages, woodland etc as I hit the OOM bug with CMSF. I can do them if they are just bare terrain - but 4km shooting matches over flattish terrain aren't all that much fun... If that floats your boat I have a trail map - really basic not even a scenario but you can drive Leopards and M1s around and shoot stuff. Anyways this is academic as map is done and just putting finishing touches to OOB/Orders and victory conditions.

  13. I'm creating a new CMSF scenario loosely based on one of the Armour magazine Tactical Vignettes situations. The map is very large 2575m W and 4000m D which allows very long engagement distances, lot's of high speed manouver and even the possibility of some small scale MOUT. It's a fictional engagement 'somewhere in Eastern Europe or thereabouts' between two mech units (around company sized teams). You have the opportunity to influence the force nationalities that fight in this. Currently The US (Blue) are the ones pushing forward. Question is what nationality should the other side be. I originally though top quality Syrian mech stuff (T90s, BMP3 etc) but then thought well they could equally have Leopards or Challengers etc plus split-able teams. So what nationalities would you like to see fight it out on this map? You can post here or PM me. Also if you fancy taking it for a test run (seeing as it's the map is so big be useful to check the incidence of the old OOM issues in CMSF that used to affect large maps - I've got a beefier PC now so in test runs of this I've not had that issue as yet).   14. You can see the Tc throw what appears to be a smoke grenade after the first impact (at around 00:25 seconds). I'm not sure there are two RPG hits in this though. One for sure but the second one appears to miss the tank completely and the smoke you see is the smoke from the smoke grenade?
  15. I think it was just some uniform mods that were affected with 2.00. I'm using my original armour/dust/bocage &tree etc mods in 2.01 with no issues.

  17. It's so well hidden I can't make it out in the image... Maybe a larger image? FWIW when hiding stuff think about the terrain it's in - long grass/wheat/weeds/undergrowth all serve to camo AT guns. Range is another factor. An AT gun placed beside some trees with no undergrowth tile will stand out - place it in trees with undergrowth then it is better camoued.
  18. Once buddy aid has been performed/ammo or weapons recovered from the dead the injured/dead guys 'disappear' - that's always been the case in CMX2, unless you are describing something else?
  19. On a more serious note it was discussed and on balance game play issues i.e. one single KOd tank blocking a crucial road/bridge etc could screw up the whole game. Given at the time this was a totally new experience I think the general consensus us was as you see now. Possibly as the game and players mature it might be a different context. Still whatever decision is made it's BFC's - their game and ultimately their choices. Simples.
