  1. Worked out the challenge was having em smoke a trench system and I was getting too close! The power of a short break and some coffee!!
  2. I'm currently using em in a scenario but struggling to get em to do their flaming job without becoming flaming wrecks. Need to revisit my tactics...
  3. Cheers @MOS:96B2P The combat career of a panzergrenadier under my command is filled with glory and honour, and really, really, really short. Aye it's not as large as it looks but different (based on real terrain in southern Poland) its a shallow valley and you attack along the hills on one side.
  4. Dismounted panzer grenadiers assault the Soviet held trenches. Some Soviet infantry make a run for it... And they're in.
  5. Another video showing the attacking SPW the Jagdpanzer IVs above were moving up to provide overwatch for.
  6. Wee quick and dirty video showing some early Jagdpanzer IVs moving forward whilst supporting an attack by a SPW unit.
  7. Sounds like you are trying to find the Nvidia settings in your integrated Intel graphics card options. If you right click on your desktop you should see the Nvidia Control Panel icon come up. Then you can tweak the settings to your heart's delight (search for threads re settings for Nvidia cards on the forum). If not then you could try installing the control panel (also check you updated your drivers at the same time). See link below: https://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk
  8. Hhmm good question... Anecdotally within a section if say the MG gunner is offed, then whoever picks up the weapon will still have the weapon next mission. But not sure if they pickup a weapon from another unit whether it will carry over to next mission.
  9. @Sgt.Squarehead I'm assuming you don't want to see the vehicle? It'll work as you state without the vehicle being invisible but I suspect you already know this... I use that trick to place burning vehicles in buildings so I have burning houses.
  10. Cheers ta. Aye I that is the case. i did rerun my test scenario in CMSF2 and had no issues so should be fine for you and your wee vehicles to roll in CMSF2.
  11. Aye the premise for this was to do a recce type mission followed by engagement. In very rough tests (although in CMSF often got the dreaded Out of memory issue) had engagements at 2km plus! It seems to work fine in CMSF2.
  12. he! Aye likewise Aye I'll dig it out. Cheery!
  13. My pleasure. You are close - correct book type (command decisions and dice rolls) but different book done in a similar style. Forgot the exact reference myself as book is up in the loft with all my modern stuff. Just remind me now I have some time I should uppack it all into my new man cave...
  14. I've got a 2.7 x 4km CMSF2 map that although the key terrain elements (elevations and roads) are all done was never finished (although i chopped it up and used bits for smaller scenarios). Happy to donate it to the greater good if anyone wants to use it as the base for something? https://www.dropbox.com/s/7p4sobzkzohqhwl/Objective Eagle_v10.btt?dl=0 It was the basis for an 'Objective Eagle' mission I was noodling with but other stuff took over. I'll be impressed if anyone gets the reference
  15. Hhmm... I don't know how you got a version dated 2016 but the only version (original) I have on my HD is Beta version 2 dated 2015. So regardless of dates its 'CMRT Der Ring Der 5 Panzer Division_v2 BETA' you want. I never did anything else to this version. Now hopefully with your new PC you can enjoy this - combat recce and tank vs tank duels at 1.5km
  16. Hi Lille The above shot is set in January 1945 in Hungary. Personally, I've not tested the full range of weather parameters and this was taken using a beta build when I was doing some AI plan testing in a scenario I made. Caveat. How and when winter shows up and how to access whitewashed vehicles could change. Suffice to say winter terrain and weather conditions and whitewashed vehicles are in. Cheery!
  17. Nice of you to say - still be pleasure to buy you a pint of by chance you fetch up in the Highlands. Might even stretch to a bag o crisps an aw!
  18. Ha! Ha! Jeezo! Aye memo to self. Next time use simpler ranks!! I’m still due you beer for the proof reading and other support you gave on that project. Cheery!
