  1. What???????????  That's 30 plans total!!! You've been really busy! You know, I was thinking. Wouldn't it be great in a case like this to be able to copy Plan 1 into Plan 2 and then make some modifications to it instead of having to make each one from scratch? It would have saved you many hours of work for sure. Ah, one other thing: I thought the artillery support quite useless. It took ages to start firing. I only managed to use it twice and then I was already on top of the target!!!! I didn't open it in the editor to see what was going on. --
  2. I just finished Reisberg. I saw the squads Poppa is talking about but I had no time left to try and drive over them. But they seemed pretty active to me! They were firing still. I got a Total Victory in my first try. 300 x 0. Veteran RT. I didn't control the Obj 1, the most important and worth 300 points. I thought I had but apparently there was this one red soldier hiding in one of the buildings!!! But since I denied it to the enemy that was fine. It has a CMx1 feel to it which is nice too. I'll try the other 2 missions later. Great work Mark! --
  3. I played Veteran RT. I got to the EXIT on time. Just about. But yes I was running against the clock. But this is actually good. I mean when you manage to find out exactly what needs to be tweaked to make your mission perfect. You don't need to change the force mix. Add more time. Adjust the points and objectives and that's it. But of course it's your mission. If you think the time pressure adds to the challenge, don't change that. --
  4. Sounds great. I've downloaded. Just hope my poor old computer will be able to run it. All those trees, you know! --
  5. Yes. That's the issues I found while playing. I think you should adjust that and upload a 1.1 version or something. Apart from that it is a very nice scenario. I really enjoyed it. For me it was a good break from testing missions with only infantry. Here you have more toys to play with. Loads of DShKs! Swoooooooooosh, boom!!! First time I tried it I placed the four Strykers hidden on the woods to the right of the main road. I thought they were too vulnerable on the road and the terrain seem pretty flat. The HQ inside the house I placed on the roof. One thing to notice is the terrain looks flat but has some interesting elevations that block LOS in a very clever way. I moved 1st Platoon through the woods using the dirt road, and started killing the enemy on the way. The HQ fired and destroyed the IED car that appears as the mission starts. Soon I moved one of my Strykers to the right of the map (West?), and venture closer to the house, firing a few shots at them to check for enemies inside. Moved another Stryker in that direction as well but further to the west to next group of 3 houses with a tall wall behind them. Same procedure. Then popped smoke and moved the men to the roof. Now I left only one Stryker in the woods and moved the third one back to the main road. I had spoted 4 machineguns on some buildings and RPGs as well. Time to call air support. Too many Helos and not enough artillery for my taste. The Kiowas and all helos for that matter are not very accurate and take take as long as artillery to arrive but for minimal help. Anyhow I used all I had available. I had no idea if I had to used them more carefully or if there would be plenty of them. At this point the Scouts arrived. Another 4 Strykers! Great. I used them to reinforce my previous positions. Soon though I had lost 2 Strykers to RPGs. On in the woods and another one guarding the west flank. By then the tecnicals started to arrive but were destroyed quickly. The air strike apparent blew a car IED on the road corner. The convoy arrives. Around 45 minutes to go. I figure that is enough but the truth is you have to take it reall slow since the enemy pops up everywhere all the time. I finished the mission having secured both objectives, the zone to be secured, the curve and took the convoy to the exit area. Still I lost!!!! Tactical Defeat. That was disapointing, after all the struggle! In the end screen I saw the Reds have some different objectives, some areas they must hold. But since the player doesnt know that he cant try to control then, therefore loses. Apart from that though I thought it was a lot of fun, very interesting mission. Well done the Fighting Seabee !!! --
  6. Got it. Let´s see what you´ve been doing with your time.... --
  7. Hey guys, sorry!!! I was correcting some grammar and spelling mistakes. The link is working again. Thanks Steve for making this a sticky! --
  8. I´m slow too. I´d like the unlimited time option myself. The pressure of time can be interesting in some missions, like this one it makes a lot of sense. But It´s very nice to take it slowly too. I´ve just finished this one. Will post a AAR soon. --
  9. We all have the same kind of problem! Well, not really a problem. Time management issues, more like it. Anyway, I needed a break from playing my missions a thousand times. Just finished playing yours. Will post comments and a brief AAR later. ---
  10. I´m curious about this one. Still stuck in my campaign though. As soon as I finish I´ll check this one out and post an AAR. ---
  11. Peter, Appart from the two great missions from rune included in the patch there have been 11 new scenarios uploaded to CMMODS in the last 5/6 days. Some made by the same designers that did the missions for the original release. Many more to be uploaded soon. I´m finishing a Campaign with 7 missions in it. In Search of a Ghost Mostly infantry so not sure that would be something you´d enjoy. Should be out soon. I still like to have one or two more people to test it though. If you have the time and would like to do it please send me an email --
  12. Hey Mark I was counting your 3 in the next 10 to be released!!! --
  13. In the last 5 days 11 new scenarios have been uploaded to CMMODS!!!! There are at least another 10 to be released in the next few days if I counted right. That should keep players busy during the holidays. --
  14. The testers are having a hard time finishing the missions! Apparently I made them too hard. I´ll fix it, but don´t worry it´ll still be pretty hard! ---
  15. Hey, I got some really wild stuff with my deluxe version. But apparently we can´t comment on it. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year to all. --
  16. Nope. I haven´t baked a single scenario so far. I think MarkEzra got it. Now I remember it happening to me too. If the deployment area you painted is too small for the size of the forces some will show up in the default are. Wait, but you said they are scattered? that´s really odd. --
  17. Pete, If you test one or two missions from my campaign. I´ll test yours next week. How does that sound? --
  18. Thanks for that SGT_56M If there is anybody else interested there is still time. --
  19. - You guys don´t know what you are talking about! I guess I´ll have to explain. First BF gave us the high wall bug. They let us play with it for a while. Then they took it away and gave us the short wall bug. They are going to let us play with it for a while. Later BF will post a poll where we will vote which one we prefer and this will be hard coded forever in the game. Now, seriously. The short wall bug has been already fixed. Steve mentioned it in another post. It will be released soon in a small patch. Thank god we don´t have a medium sized wall in the game! --
  20. True. Some pretty neat stuff as I remember. --
  21. Even games like MS Flight Simulator does that. There are loads of third party ADDONs to be used with the game. You pay for A-10, ultra realistic, to be used in MSFS. It´s not a MOD it´s an ADDON. And it´s not officially endorsed by MS (or is it?)and I don´t think they get a share of the profits ( do they? )for the sales of the add ons. But then again we are talking about something in a completely different scale. -- [ December 18, 2007, 03:03 PM: Message edited by: Webwing ]
  22. I don´t think the background mountains are necessarily bad. The color of the sky is the problem IMO. You rarely see a sky that bright blue, highly saturated. The landscape is almost monochromatic, very desaturated and then you have this bright blue sky! It stands out too much. Drives a lot of attention to something that should, well, be in the background. If you desaturated the sky to a more grayish hue than the whole would be a lot more harmonious. --
  23. Thanks, Yes there is one showing how to make a basic mission real quick. Click here: Tutor 01 It´s buried in the main forum. They are not very dynamic I´m afraid. I still have trouble capturing video from CMSF. If I didn´t the videos could be so much better. Anyway hope it helped you and hope to see some scenarios from you in the future! --
