  1. Ok, It seems this one is from George Mc. I'd send him an email to ask if I were you. The fact that you can't find credit for some of the official scenarios is due to the fact that most of them are the result of the work of more than one person. The designer submits the work but it had to be somehow adapted to fit into the game context. With some things added, deleted or changed. At least that's my understanding. -
  2. This has been asked before. If that is only for you then go ahead and mess with it as much as you like. It's your game!!! Most designers that answered this question before said they would like to be consulted if this was to be made public and uploaded to CMMODS. And credit given of course. -
  3. Not in my tests it doesn't. Can you reproduce it? I don't think this is a bug. Billy Riley, If you assign groups and paint deployment areas and paint AI setup areas correctly you should be fine. Just check the whole process from start to finish. Don't despair! Creating scenarios can be frustrating sometimes but once you get the hang of it, it's extremely rewarding. If nothing else works send it my way and I'll take a look. - [ May 26, 2008, 11:45 AM: Message edited by: Webwing ]
  4. I remember somebody else had a similar problem. Use the search option of the forum, and see if you can find it. If you paint setup areas and place them there with initial setup orders you should have no problem. Provided you faced them in the direction you want initially. I never had that so I can't help you much here, sorry. -
  5. Normal Dude, Yes, this map technique is really interesting. I've got to give it a go. Great stuff, thanks!!! -
  6. Crispy, I asume you play RT. In this case you can pause as much as you like and micromanage. In WEGO on the other hand you are unable to give commands for 1 min. In this case it is desirable that your units take some evasive action it they feel threatened. I play mostly RT but don't see this as a problem. But it is a very delicate balance between what should be left to the player and what the game should handle on it's own. No two players will agree on that!
  7. well for example compare CMBB and CMSF prices in stores that are also selling thru Amazon.com: CMSF: $7.67, $9.97, $19.99, $6.99, $6.99, $8.12, $9.67, $10.00 -- average price $9.925 CMBB: $36.67, $36.68, $37.19, $37.75, $59.99, $28.91, $28.92, $29.55, $34.25 -- average price $36.65 by average CMBB costs more than three times as much as CMSF. at highest it costs 8 and half times as much. </font>
  8. Neat idea. Probably on THE LIST already though! -
  9. Most of the MODs are pretty awesome. I was checking at cmmods and couldn't believe the number of mods available. It might be getting close to a hundred. Has anyone counted them? -
  10. M113s are cool. But Steve has said many, many times, that they won't be included. I may be wrong but asking it in one post after the other won't change anything. Still, I enjoyed this M113 discussion. Made me look up more info and learn more about this vehicle. Is this the one nicknamed Gavin? Ops, sorry, just joking! -
  11. The British use a vehicle which is quite similar to the M113. The FV430 series. The FV432 Mk2 is still in use and many are being upgraded to Mk3, the Bulldog. They look quite impressive. -
  12. PT, You shouldn't worry too much about "sharp posts" telling you what to do. Only if they come from the moderators, that is! -
  13. FMB, Looks fantastic! I feel sort of guilty not offering to help you with this one. Specially since you were such a great help with my campaign. My life is a bit of a mess with too little time for actually playing. As you can see I haven't released a single mission after the Ghost. Anyway, finding people to test our missions is always hard. Testing doesn't seem much fun, I guess. -
  14. I have seen a lot of mission designers posting "adds" of their stuff here in the main forum. I have done that myself. Guys making MODs are doing this as well. I think it's a good way to let people know what is being released. More technical issues and feedback could then go the the design forum, like Steve said. And even AARs. I haven't been visiting the Scenario Design forum lately. Too busy. I went there now and found a great number of new missions being released! -
  15. It's good for 2 comps. I reckon you have bootcamp or your hard drive has Windows in one partition, as there is no Mac version at this point. For the download version they send an e-mail with the code. Didn't you save that? Else you should send BF and email so that they can help you. -
  16. I love the detail inside the vehicle! -
  17. Mishga, Contratulations! You are doing a lot of nice stuff with the editor. I love small campaigns like this. I think people should do more of those. I guess people are intimidated by the thought of designing a campaign. It seems like something huge. But there are loads of interesting scenarios to be created with 2 or 3 linked missions. --- [ May 09, 2008, 01:50 PM: Message edited by: Webwing ]
  18. It shows how many possibilities there are for this game.... -
  19. I am on a laptop. in resolution 1280x800.with a dual core, a Nvidia 7600 and 2GO of ram. I hope to have replied </font>
  20. RommL, What kind of configuration for the graphics are you using? And also your computer specs!? Those images look fantastic!!! -
  21. Normal Dude, This is looking great! Love the graphics!!!! Looking forward to it! Keep us informed on your progress. -
  22. PT, Not sure about the Airborne Battalion but you now have: T-90SA Tank BMP-3 BRDM-2 (AT-5) With the T-90 you can finally face the M1 and have a fair fight. They look quite formidable. -
  23. Heh Mark, Glad you are enjoying it! Post some feedback if you can. Have fun! -
  24. I think you've seen these but anyway... - Marines -
