Airbourne, Loaded the game and played with the McAffee firewall on, all I had to do is hit grant access twice, once for the lobby and once for the game when I started one. I did not have to do anything else. I am playing a 2 v 2 right now against the AI. The reason I reloaded and tried again was I had the beta, and this test was with the full release of the game. Rune

Honestly I don't remember anymore, have been too busy working on other things and haven't open any of CMX1 since I made a scenario which I have to get back to tweaking one of these days. Rune

Peng, There are NO boxes on a soccer pitch, if you meant the penalty area, then just say so. Any dissent will be a yellow card to you. You will find that on an indoor field, the ball is much quicker and will bounce more. the girls will have to adjust their passing. Here, the indoor pitches are on the artifical turf, which is MUCH better then astroturf. Look like blades of grass, but on top of a ground up rubber base. Remember, you have two soccer referees here, Winecape and myself. Rune

As Steve knows, I will push the hardware to see how far I can push it. he forgets to mention the beta test scenario where I had more King Tigers on the map then were ever built in reality. Unplayable, of course, but to see if the system could handle it or freeze up. I plan on doing the same with CMX2. How many Space Lobsters can fit on a map? How long will it take to process a turn at that size? Can the butter projector fire over the buildings? Etc. All part of alpha/beta testing LONG before we start making scenarios for the game. Oh, if anyone here is a Saturday Night Live fan, do you remember when the satellite was going to crash? Might have been skylab? SNL did a skit where they were attacked by giant lobsters? I run both a hardware and zone alarm pro, and have only opened port 8080 and can host games with no problem. I will try with McAfee's tonight when I get home and see how it does. I have kept games open for hours. Will do some testing tonight and see what I come up with. Rune

Lets see, you need port 8080 open. That's it. Depending on the firewall means if it is software or hardware. programs like zone alarm you need to tell it allow access, ditto with mcafee's firewall. hardware firewall is a single port. Sounds robust to me. Rune

Hmm this makes me think... I know it is said tactical air destroyed a lot of the North Korean Armour...are there any studies on this? Basically T34s and WWII Vintage Corsairs and Muystangs with some jets and Skyraiders occasionally. Be interesting to see the claimed kills of tanks and compare it to what wa found...might be a little better documented then WWII was. Rune

dalem and OGSF, My sympathies also... having lost my dog this year who we had for 12 years, i understand it is like losing one of the family...but unlike here, one we actually like.
