  1. Elvis, So they got the address wrong again? Quickly move, they seem to be catching up to you. As for the boondocks..sorry, the entire state you live in is a boondock. You can move in with the Peng clan I guess. Rune
  2. Hey No Good Cavscout, On the way back, get me an Iraqi Flag and something for the wife. Let me know what you need, and will get for you while you are in town...and oh yeah, Lars isn't kidding, they are calling for snow tomorrow. Rune
  3. Boo, Boo, Boo, Boo, Boo , You ask a good question. Amazing, really, when one thinks it came from you. Who had their hand up your back, prompting you? Mace, and you pulling his strings again? I know he is Joebob's faithless sidekick, but really... Back to the point [sit down Bauhaus] what is a Thunder run? It Could be: A race to see who finishes off a bottle of Thunderbird first, or it could be: A race to see who rises up from the ashes like a Phoenix first {The thought of them burning up in a fire does have a certain appeal}, or it could be: A race to see who gets a worse case of Diphtheria, or it could be: A race to see who gets to slap around Nidan1 for posting what I already posted, or it could be: A race between the two of them, riding their tricycles at top speed on a busy expressway, or it could be: a mad dash into Baghdad to test the defenses. On second thought, no, couldn't be that, 4F is still 4F. As for the scenario insult, one is now headed your way, AND no matter what you say or do, at least ->I<- never sunk so low as to be the Barney Fife to Joebob. Rune
  4. Getting back on topic, I see Peng challanging Seanachai to see who can finish a bottle of Thunderbird first. For those of you too young or too foreign or too busy with sheep, this is Thunderbird: Thunderbird What other rotgut wines are out there? I remember Emrys drinking Mogen David out of a brown paper bag. Here it is: Maddog 20/20 Rune
  5. Over the limit, our new home: New Peng Thread Rune
  6. Go away... Go away I said... No really, go away... Still here? You ARE a daft bugger. OK then, stay here under these rules. A. This is a challenge thread. Challenge an equal with all the skill you have. This means for you Scum Sucking Newbies, hereafter known as SSN, challange another newbie. You are here to amuse us. 2. It is the taunt that matters, do it with enough panache', and you may get noticed. Then you will be taken in by one of the Olde Houses. Joebob Shaw being the oldest, but not the one here the longest. III. Sound off like you have a pair, not about your pair. Even in the Cesspool certain standards MUST be maintained. FORE. The ladies of the Pool are sacred, as are wives. DO NOT cross that line, ever. Fiver. For quicker promotion, become the hated mortal enemy of Seanachai , however, be prepared for his long winded dissertations on why you should hate him...oh, and you have to pay him in Good Scotch. 6.6666666 Emrys is the resident grammar police official of the thread. Not that anyone cares, but at his advanced age, it gives him something to look forward to. 7. Please do NOT feed the Peng. Never, ever! Henry The Eight. I am I am: You MUST have your email in your profile if you are daft enough to get this far. If you don't, Joebob will drone on and on and on and on and on and on about rules that he doesn't follow. Humor the old guy. Last but not least: Post an AAR after your battles, we love to see how really pathetic you are in the game. Yes, you are the court fool untill promoted, live with it. 7. JasonC, Also do not forget the lendlease tanks that were lost. A grant could have 7 casualties in one loss. You can correct these figures, as they are from memory, and I am getting old. USA 3734 Tanks Britain 4292 Tanks Canada 1188 Tanks SO about 10,000 tanks, but am not sure how many of these were lost in combat. Rune
  8. I just saw the new Seanachai Travelocity commercial. He is flying around in a lawn chair attached to balloons. Nice to see him expanding his horizons. Rune
  9. Oh I wouldn't worry about Seanachai, he always gets moody when filming for travelocity. Rune [ February 28, 2006, 06:35 AM: Message edited by: rune ]
  10. Does putting a slice of lime in Corona count then? Rune
  11. I found Stgeve's post in under 30 seconds. Still nothing new graphically. Some great animations, but they make for uninteresting screenshots. You know, like a mortar team loading an invisible round into an invisible mortar, or a Javelin team firing an invisible missile at an invisible tank.x There is also the "block tank" that has opening hatches and what not, but really is a big 3D rectangle with a 3D square on top with a pipe for a gun. Great stuff, but not exactly graphically ready for prime time Steve Also, I can say the editor is almost complete. We are emailing internally and will post screenshots when we have something to post. Rune
  12. Peng, Ditto from me. Hope the head cabbage gets well soon [After all, Pod People are NOT born] My wife is a ER RN, so if you have a question, toss to me in email, and I can get the answer for you [medically speaking of course] Rune
  13. Go here: http://bookstore.gpo.gov/wwii/ I own the combat CDs, cost is 23.00 for a 4 CD set which is all 7 combat volumes of the European-mediterranean-Middle East Theaters of Operations. They obviously have all the other sets if you are interested. Rune
  14. I have it and have used it as a source for scenarios. A lot of his materials come from the Army's Green Books, so if you do not own them, then grab the book immediately and enjoy it. Rune
  15. No Good Cavscout , You and Bugged will have the invite and the alcohol when the time comes. Also, send the photos to me. I could send a screenshot of the UI of CMSF, but then you may enjoy it, and besides, I'd rather torture the members here. Rune
  16. Dandelion, Nope, I first heard of the practice from some relatives still living in Germany. I never tried it.. but have heard of it. Obviously a different term, so wanted to make sure whoch Andreas has done. Rune
  17. For those of us in the US, i assume Shandy is not the name of some beer serving wench at the local pub, but the strange habit of mixing beer with lemonade or a 7up type soda? Rune
  18. John, No problem, the map was fun to make. Let me know how it plays out... can't adjust much except the air. Rune
  19. Yep, it is the Churchill Croc. I can only imagine the design team... thinking it might have been Peng related. "I got an idea...let's take a tank that top speed cross country is 8 mph, give it vertical armour so shells can't bounce off, and then, and only then, have it pull a container of flannable liquid" Yep, sounds like a Peng design all right. Rune
  20. Actually it is based on the Churchill VII. That should give it away. Rune
  21. Actually you are both very close. I'll reward both of you if no one gets it 100%. The full picture you can tell better, but it was cropped to fit the web page. Will wait a day. Rune
  22. All, Since no one has taken me up on the identify the tank thingy, I will now sweeten the pot. The person who identifies the tank from the picture on the Justicar's web site, will not only be invited to the CMSF preview, you will also drink the bottle of Glenfiddich Ancient Reserve Single Malt Scotch, aged 18 years in Oak Casks, that was saved here for Seanachai. Yes, you can steal the alcohol right from him. If that isn't incentive, I do not know what incentive is. Alternate if you do not like scotch, is a bottle of Bushmill's Irish whiskey. Seanachai would drink it too if I let him. Still trying to recover my bar stock from his last visit. Rune
  23. Joebob , you ignorant twit. I bet even the lowly Boo can identify the tank just by the barrel. Heck, even Emrys can identify it, if he puts his coke bottle glasses on. An invite to the advanced screening of CMSF when the time comes to the first that ID's the tank. Joebob is excluded since I already told him what it was in the email I sent him. Yep, you have to find the photo too. Rune
  24. John, Had to be a glitch on your end. I know Jon has loaded it up with no problems, and I haven't heard from anyone else with it. Between Google Earth and the maps I have, best I could do with the engine. If I could set variable heights for different objects, I could make it better. Actually witht he size of the map, and walking, it may not be enough turns...however I like to let the player have enough time to develop their plan, no 15 minute rush jobs. Enjoy and let me know what you think. Rune
