Wearing shoes indoors is considered barbaric in Eastern Europe, war is not an excuse.

Apologies if posted previously, recorded 27 June, but an interesting listen. Seems a solid overview of the war to date

Brutal video of death of Ukrainian soldier who tried to cover his wounded collegue. Brave guy - in US, for such action he would probably earn Medal of Honour. In this war there are probably dozens if not hundreds of similar nameless feats.

Also, tension remain sky high in Belarusian direction- medics are forbidden to left the country, Belarussian soldiers are keep in the field constantly training already for some time, there is also visibvle movement from ammunition depots. Lukashanka's statement hardened as well in last several days (he said he "made decision long ago'); judging by his rants, both countries are already at serious war. Perhaps Putin pressures him to do something, but it still seems he is doing everything he can not do to anything...
Ukrainian officials (Podolyak lately) constantly send messages to Belarus to **** off, they seem to believe Ru+BL soldiers in the North may at least harass their troops along the border to keep their forces occupied there.
This may still be a game "I know you are bluffing so I will bluff too".

Parsing RU channels found unofficial RU view on what happened during 2-12 May at Seversky Donets crossings. (FYI @Battlefront.com). Sorry if it was already posted. Usual disclaimer - this RU point of view but it does not look like propaganda exercise. Changed all names to Google Maps standard. For maps I used ImageShack. It says the account is free but also trial, so most likely they will be gone in 30 days.

Some about UKR losses: this article says 130th TDB of 112th Kyiv TDBR, operating in Kharkiv oblast lost for last week 18 servicemen KIA, including company commander. Some guys from our reenectment clubs enlisted in this brigade and some in this battalion.

This is twitter of servicemen of 111th TDBR of Luhansk oblast. He writes the company of this brigade, armed only with light weapon 3,5 months held own positions in Pryvillia village NW from Lysychansk, repelling all probes of Russians to cross the river, but 30th of June Russian artillery made the hell on their positions with so quantity of fire as if they need to suprees whole division. They have been withdrawing two days to Siversk on foot under shellings, hiding from the shells from 10 minutes ip to 2 hours. Despite the heavy fire, their company could avoid big losses.
111th TDBR considers as enough capable, because many of serviceman - either former ATO soldiers or active pro-Ukrainian citizens.

Meanwhile Russian/LDPR forces already eneterd to Lysychansk, rear UKR screen units withdrawing from the city with some clashes.

They released videos in initial pahse of war, when Russian tactic of advance in columns and deploying allowed to use TB2 for strikes. But when the war turned to position withstanding and Russians established echeloned AD of troops, TB2 became mostly use only for recon and artilelry targeting. Though, they also still in use as strike UAVs, when it possible, even on territory of Russia (at least 2 TB2 were shot down near the Russian border)

It's the former, according to some Ukrainian pilots:
“They were very useful and important in the very first days, stopping those columns [of Russian armored vehicles and troops heading toward the capital Kyiv], but now that they’ve built up good air defenses, they’re almost useless," Moonfish said.
TB2s are still being employed for "some special operations, including attack missions," according to Juice, "but, in very rare situations and in exact conditions."

UKR troops are completing the withdrawal from Lysychansk.
Looks like troops from the north-west of the city are withdrawing to south in expecting own queue to move out. Russians yesterday crossed Siverskyi Donets river and seized Privillia and Shypylivka villages. There is unknown how they did it - with pontoons or just on vehicles or boats. First attaempt of crossing or engineer recon  for crossing reportedly took place on 29th of June. Also unknown there was some clashes for theese villages after crossing or no.
UKR troops still hold southtern and south-werstrn outskirts of Lysychansk, maintiaining withdrawal of main part of Lysychansk group. Main clashes are ongoing around zhelatin factory in 4 km from southern outskirts of the city, on oil rafinery near Verhniokamyanka village and on approaches to Verkniokayanske village
Russian troops advance on Lysychansk from the south with two groups. First, so called "north Popasna group": one PMC BTG and two BTGs of 1st MRB DPR, two BTGs of 100th MRB of Republican Guard DPR, 14th territorial defense battalion of LPR (moved here in last days as reinforcement) - they operate on oil rafinery, Verkhnoikamyanka, Zolotarivka, Maloriazantseve axis and have a task to take Verkhniokamyanske - Zolotarivka section of road to cut off the way for UKR troops from Lysychansk. In best case they shoul meet with "Lyman or Siverodonetsk group", which crossed the river and also now tries to move in Zolotarivka direction.
The second Russian group, which should mop up Lysychansk represents left-flank part of "Siverodonetsk group" and consists of  two BTGs of PMC, 39th MRB, 394th MRR of 127th MRD, 24th Spetsnaz brigade, 4th MRB of LPR in full composition. Also Russian comamnd moved from other parts of "Popasna group" to rear echelon of "Siverodonetsk left-flank group" three tired BTGs from 155th naval infantry broigade and 60th MRB. This group now hold the line from Ustynivka - Bila Hora Pidlisne and makes probes on gelatine factory area, but doesn't conduct enough active actions - they are awaiting results of the actions around Verhniokamyanske - Zolotarivka to enter the game.
But yesterday there is informatin appeared, Russians threw in the battle on Verkhniokamyanske - Zolotarivka part of own "Siverodonetsk left-flank" group, reserved for urban actions. Also they threw in the battle also elements of 6th cossack MRR of LPR from "central Popasna group". This can shows either "northern Popasna" group is suffered big losses or Russians just want to trumple our lines with mass.

Wel, to say it has a cult status is an understatement. A few generations of Poles were raised on it, most actors made huge careers and it was an export hit very popular in the whole Warsaw Pact.  I have no idea how many times I sang the opening song while drunk with my buddies
It is available online, and Youtube's auto- translated subtitles are reasonably good:
Authentic "Rudy 102" tank they used for filming, a T34-85 with one side cut open for the cameras is on display in the armor museum in my city:

    @Battlefront.com
Here is some recommendations from UKR frontline soldier for your collection
ATTENTION TO ALL, WHO FIRST TIME COMES TO EASTERN FRONT
    1. Enemy has significant advantage in aviation and artillery.
    2. There are no more stupid conscripts, but really trainned murderers, whick know own work
    3. Our positions have been betraying by locals and drones ajust fire
    4. Vehicles are target #1
    RECOMMENDAIONS FOR DOGFACE
    1. Dig in deep, but never wide.
    2. Dig in in the places with additional protection (tree) or with obstacles for enemy artillery (hill, railwau embarkment)
    3. Dig several positions, join its after in the trench (if enemy allow you to do this)
    4. Do not concentrate many people in one shelter - no more 2-3
    5. For rest and cover to dig a grave. Yes, a grave with steps (on the photo) for two. While the first on position, the second rests in the grave, then change.
    6. Evacuation point must be maximally hidden, to make a pathway and the hole for aid. In the hole only combat medic have to work, you shouldn't be there.
    7. Do not bring with you neither too much ammunitions nor any other supply - its betrays you. Get out the trash - bury even cigarette butts.
    8. Prepare good off-road jeep, take away all superflous, take away lights and give NV device to the driver. Let he stays in 5 km from your positions. This will save most of your WIAs.
    9. Ammunition and supply delivers when jeep drives to take WIAs or if you have a need in resupply. Two days reserve of ammunition and supply for comany have to be always near the jeep.
    10. BMPs and BTRs are also have to be in the rear, dug in deeply and disguished or hidden. They drive to the battle only and dont's carry people! Your trucks you can shot out yourself, thus will be less victims. But better hand over its to artillerists.
    11. Comms, steady encriptes comms and interaction with tanks and artillery. Infantry finds targets, recons ajust arty with drones, arty fires. But artillerists are people too and they also primary target for the enemy. They will not stand-by continuously and they also have a limit of ammunition and supply.
    12. Do not deploy on infantry positions ATGMs or MANPADs. Deployits aside or behind, but never on positions. If this stuff works at least once, your position will grounded.
    13. Most important!!!! The time for supply it's twilight (dawn or dusk). Safe time you will understand yourself.  And do this with jeeps with engine volume no more 2,5 l
    14. Despite on written above, the war is dictating own rules. At this war the best are speed and mobility. And remember - they don't know how much of you, until you expose yourself. And during this time eliminate as more of orcs as possible, while they will be probe. Best way - to shot, when you see the enemy, and not hear his bullets. In this way they check your nerves. When the come close, try to kill as more as possible in order they will not call or adjust own artillery, because without accurate adjustment their arty is skew and only something random can hit your positin.

Depends what they're being trained on/as.
Rifleman? Forget it - may as well stay in west Ukraine
Equipment maintainer? Intelligence operator? Comms specialist? Now you're talking. Three weeks won't provide deep and broad generalist training, but it is enough to learn to do one thing well.
