Fortifications get stuck fast during setup

I'm having problems with certain fortifications that once placed can no longer be repositioned during the setup phase. Would this be a bug?

Can't go into too much detail until my PBEM opponent sees them too.

Normally one sees something like that if placed outside setup zones.

This isn't related but there is another fortification problem with trenches. They don't hold their assigned facing after setup phase is done. They flip back 90 degrees to default if there is a single trench.

I thought they flip back immediately, as soon as you take away the second trench instance that made them go diagonal in the first place?

They snap back on a map reload GaJ. I have had crossroads and angled single trenches stay for hours while I tweak... then be singleton straights when I reload.

Trenches ae not designed to be used in singleton units.

You need two or more to make shapes and angles.

That's odd, I read the posts and did a quick test of trenches and barbed wire arranged individually and at a 45 degree angle. On on game start they held their position. On save & reload they still held their position. I assume you're running the v1.01 patched game.

AHA! I just now discovered, the fortifications will not keep their angles when they're placed outside of a setup zone. Inside the setup zone they keep their shape. If you're doing a scenario where you've got barbed wire some disatance from your infantry setup may I suggest you do a seperate 'no infantry' setup zone beneath the wire.
