Thin Red Line
In two different scenarios i'm currently playing i'm facing the same problem : i order a squad (or HQ) to exit a building but they don't. They are not under fire and i don't understand why they don't follow the order (i tried fast, quick slow without success). Anyone had the same problem ?
womble
I've occasionally had a unit (or even a single troop) get 'stuck' on the terrain. Changing the path I wanted them to take away from their current position resolved it. It might be worth bearing in mind that there are some buildings in some scenarios where the doors/windows positions as graphically represented don't match their positions in the engine's view of the map. So you can get troops to fire through an apparently blank wall, or have them fail to move out through what looks like a door.
JSB
It must be a kind of secret weapon, known as "calvados barrel"... Ok, I =>
z1812
I have had troops refuse to leave a building. Its only occurred once...........so far.
Fetchez la Vache
Is it raining? :-) Never seen this myself.
Thin Red Line
Yes that's quite annoying. In one scenario it is my IG ammo bearer which is stuck in the building... and the gun itself has only 3 HE shells.
Earl Grey
I'm looking into this and the really odd thing is that if a unit can't get OUT of a building, no one can get INTO a building either. Seems to affect only a few buildigns so far, though... further testing required.
Thin Red Line
After ten turns of unsuccessful attempts (i tried all move orders, from slow to assault, and used multiple way points in all directions) i finally managed to get them out of the building : i ordered a nearby kubelwagen to get close to the house and gave the squad an embark order. And, miracle, it worked ! If this can help other players...
Holman
Was this in the "Vierville" scenario, by any chance? It's a known issue with two buildings on that map, at least. It's like they don't really have doors, despite the graphics.
Thin Red Line
Vierville, indeed.
Agua
I've had this happen out in the open a time or two. They just stand there with the order path stretched out before them. It's so rare that it's really even less than a niggle.
Bimmer
I had the same thing in the Vierville scenario. I filed a ticket with BF, so hopefully it's on the formal list of things to be addressed.
