crsutt
I have not noticed a way to toggle bases on my units like in the older game. Have I missed something? If I can't do it, please considering adding the feature. I really can't see the units very well (old eyes) and need the help. The brighter the bases the better. You know some of us wargamers have been around for quite a while now and really need some visual aid...
theFightingSeabee
You cannot toggle the bases. There are a few mods that might help you though. Check out the repository for base mods that may brighten up your unit bases.
Georgie
crsutt, I understand where you are coming from. Try "MinimalBasesUltra" The bases are smaller and very bright.

That sounds like a teeth whitener... Seriously, is that a mod that adds bases? Where can I get this? Tks.
Pak40
You can download mods from the Repository You might want to read the section of the manual that describes how mods work and how to install mods.
Juju
crsutt, another great alternative would be Bil Hardenberger's hexagonal bases. They're pretty bright and facing doesn't get any clearer than this.
gunnergoz
I'm an OF too and the hexagonal bases really help the old eyeballs, try them.

gunnersman
There is another mod I like that turns the bases into chevrons. It is a CMSF mod but it works the same in CMBN. Just download from the CMMODS and add to the data folder and then to your Z folder. There is nothing to it. It does not matter if it was made for CMSF. It all works the same.

huhr
Whats a Z folder?
gunnergoz
Whats a Z folder? The title of the folder you have to create in the "Data" folder for the game on your computer if you wish to use mods. You stick all of your mods in there and the game will load them in preference to the files it normally would use.
