Thomm
Did any of you manage to win "Afternoon Delight"? I control the whole chemical plant, but, admittedly, there are still 1/4 of the enemy holed up in the buildings. Nevertheless, I destroyed all their vehicles, and everybody is on the run. Ten more minutes and they would all be dead. But the clock just stops, leading to a defeat. Did anybody have more success? SlapHappy
Of course, your unit can apply for a bailout if you truly feel it has legs to get through a Senate filibuster.
handihoc
I raised this in an earlier thread. I took the plant, killed every single enemy, took quite a few losses but nothing massive, and still got a defeat.
Thomm
I raised this in an earlier thread. I took the plant, killed every single enemy, took quite a few losses but nothing massive, and still got a defeat. Congratulations, that is quite an achievement! In this case, I shall just go on with the campaign. Best regards, Thomm
handihoc
Yes, I was very proud of that! I meant to say that as far as I could tell the outcome had no influence on subsequent battles. I went on to complete the campaign, and a highly enjoyable one it is, too. This game really rocks. I'm still playing, single-player, after more than eighteen months. That's an exception for me.

Best regards, Thomm Have you ever tried simply flattening the plant and then occupying it, rather than trying to "take" it?
Thomm
I do not think that there are enough explosives on the Blue vehicles to achieve this?! I am on to the next battle ... two separate forces with a high mountain in between ... a RT coordination nightmare ... plus endless loading times ... this one will take a while! BlackMoria
I just finished playing Afternoon Delight and the victory conditions at totally bogus. My losses: 3 WIA Syrian losses: 113 KIA, 62 WIA, 9 MIA, 5 Tanks, 1 Other. At the end, during the Review, there wasn't a single red unit left on map. I got a US Total Defeat. Red got 2000 pts for having my 3 guys going to the dispensary after the battle. Totally bogus.
missinginreality
Bogus indeed. Both objectives held 4 kia and 21 wia; OPFOR has 121 KIA and 49 WIA. 113 of my chaps accounted for all OK, OPFOR has 3. And still a total defeat what gives?
