Dirtweasle
Have you tried using a very short / small covered arc?

pad152
It takes to way much time to set covered arcs for multiple units in RT!! Hide does always work! Think maybe we need a hold fire button/command, huh?
SgtMuhammed
Better yet engagement lines that you can set where you want. One for arty, one for mainguns and missiles, one for heavy mgs, and one for small arms. My LMG guys seem to think they can take on armored vehicles.
birdstrike
I miss the SHIFT+click setting of covered arcs from CM1. Was a very quick and easy way to change a turret's alignment without fiddling around with the arc's range or width. Just tell them to aim at anything in that direction.
Panzer76
Lasso the units and select hide, I guess.
Elmar Bijlsma
Hide isn't supposed to be a way to prevent units firing 100% of the time time. Soldiers, when presented with a mighty fine target, tend to want to have a pop at it. You'll fine that the lower the experience, the higher the chance they'll open up. This was always so, in CM.
scottie
i cant get units to hold fire ether even when hidden. i assumed it was because the units were conscripts/green (one exp bar). does anyone know if this is the case ? noticed that the observe/hide by popping up now and again to have a look. is this a feature of low experience unit ?
