MikeyD
Omens. Syrians get omens from the gods. A reasonable substitute for Predator overflights. There's even animations of chickens being sacrificed on the battlefield and their entrails inspected.

Haven't you seen the movie?

I'd go for abstracted with distant chicken sounds.
Michael Dorosh
Originally posted by MikeyD: What, no grenade-firing machine guns, Predator dones, ATGMs or body armor on the Western Front? Just as a point of order; the British and Canadians did wear body armour in North-west Europe in 1944-45; it was called Medical Research Council armour (MRC) but it isn't clear how widely it was used. Probably not used much by infantrymen, but we just don't know since it was often worn underneath the clothing and thus not easily discernible in period photos. http://www.canadiansoldiers.com/mediawiki-1.5.5/index.php?title=Medical_Research_Council_Body_Armour

Lee
No complaints about the realism of any aspect of combat in CMII from our fellow wargamers. By the way, Ivan has the coolest signature on this forum.
Sixxkiller
Ya no ARTILLERY from a Paladin will hurt the most. No car bombings except by French Resistance Pepe Le Bleu fighters. No ATGM to make the Americans stand a chance against those Tigers. No Bradleys to make you wonder why God didnt invent the TOW II by Verdun. No release date that says CMWWII released July 27th. Man I can hardly wait to play this game. Misereor
Post Airstrike Whooping is put in the game. Unfortunately due to some rushed coding, whooping is enabled whenever anything is hit, including friendly troops, stray dogs, or the town orphanage.
FAI
Perhaps we will be able to play from the perspective of the grunts on the ground, a la Battlefield? I wish.....
benpark
All Syrian troops will screech "Leeeeeeeeerrroooyy Jenkins!" as they fire. Immersion will be turbo-jumbo-sized because of this feature.

Misereor
There will also be a boss-fight at the end of each mission. "What's that Lassie? Timmy has been abducted by by Osama Bin Laden, who wants us to meet him on Main Street at high noon?"
