Four New Combat Mission: Shock Force Videos Released Today!

Recommended Posts

You can almost smell the cordite and hear the distant thunder as we get closer and closer to the release of Combat Mission: Shock Force. Today we have four brand new videos to share with you showcasing everything from an ATGM ambush to a M1 tank platoon assault, as well as a infantry firefight and a montage of choice game play moments.

Excellent!

I am very happy to see persistent dust!

The only thing that still stands out are the unshaded doo-dads! I shall watch with scientific interest if Charles manages to handle those, the required shading algorithm (I guess) being quite different from the ones already in place.

But it is not a biggie, because most likely I will turn those off for performance reasons anyway.

Best regards,

Thomm

Nope, not really, there were many more important things to take care of. Its something you rarely see in game and if it really annoys you you can always turn the wind off smile.gif

Seriosly though we will look at it again in the future, particually when moving to theatres where it will be a more noticable issue. We will probably look into making the actual trees bend and blow in the wind, which should look great, but unless you wanted Charles and I to cut a chunk out of features and vehicles out it wasnt possibole for the first release smile.gif
