The M1 definitely does not have a suspension like this - it does not need it. The gun is fully stabilized for azimuth and elevation.

Oddly enough, there actually was a main battle tank in recent history that did just this. The Swedish "S-tank" raised and lowered the suspension to adjust elevation of the fixed-mount gun (this was an assault gun type MBT in service cold war through 90's).

Im pretty sure the suspension isn't meant to do that. Its like the hull is always level as it goes up a slope.

In reality gravity would have to be higher at the front of the tank than the back for the suspension to compress like that.

Unless the hydro-phumatics change the compression in response to a tilt sensor. Its not rocket science. Even my old BMW 5 series estate has a self leveling suspension that compensates when something heavy is loaded into the back. </font>

Great work! Those animations are done. Another hour spent on them is an hour that could be spent on AI or damage modelling. If you are going to spend time on graphics, the CMx1-style "skybox" is the first thing that should go according to me... Some generic rolling terrain that fills out the "sand pit" we play in must be possible to do on 2007 hardware?
