CharonJr
Hello, in my last MP game I had the Siberian troops arriving in August 1941, but unless I read the script wrong they should not appear before Jan 1942. Is this a bug, or am I reading the script wrong ? Prevented me from a cheap/gamey victory since as I hoped there was an early DDay from the UK, most likely leaving London not guarded as well as it should be CharonJr
TaoJah
That's odd indeed. I checked the script and it should have a 40% chance from 1942/6/1 on. I know that in SC1 it depended on you coming close to Moscow, but I don't see that condition anywhere here. ; USSR Transfers Siberian Troops { #NAME= USSR Siberian Reserves #POPUP= USSR Transfers Siberian Troops #FLAG= 1 #TYPE= 1 #COUNTRY_ID= 4 #TRIGGER= 40 #DATE=1942/06/01 #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 135,5 #CONDITION_POSITION= 111,1 [2,3] [1,2] [1] #CONDITION_POSITION= 114,6 [2,3] [1,2] [1] #CONDITION_POSITION= 112,10 [2,4] [3,5] [1] #CONDITION_POSITION= 119,13 [2,3] [1,2] [1] #CONDITION_POSITION= 127,16 [3,5] [2,4] [1] #CONDITION_POSITION= 135,5 [3,5] [1,2] [1] #CONDITION_POSITION= 136,2 [3,5] [1,2] [1] #UNIT= 0 [10] [1] [] #UNIT= 0 [10] [1] [] #UNIT= 7 [10] [1] [] #UNIT= 1 [10] [1] [] #UNIT= 1 [10] [1] [] #UNIT= 1 [10] [1] [] #UNIT= 2 [10] [1] [] #UNIT= 2 [10] [1] [] #UNIT= 6 [10] [1] [] #UNIT= 6 [10] [1] [] }
blackbellamy
I think you're reading the script wrong. What it says is 40% chance every turn once one of the CONDITION_POSITION's is satisfied, and then 100% by 1942/06/01.
CharonJr
Hmm, yup, that would explain it, but then page 148 of the manual should be changed. It says "There is a 40% chance per turn that USSR transfers Siberian troops AFTER Janauary 6, 1942." Thx for the replies CharonJr
Cheese Panzer
The manual also says that two of the Russian Siberian reinforcements are Rockets, but I've never seen any appear. Is this a variable condition based on the difficulty level, perhaps?
Hubert Cater
This was an update after the manual was printed, IIRC this is included in the USER MANUAL ERRATA.txt that changed the 2 Rockets for an extra Tank.
SMG42
Has anybody got a nameless 9 ranked HQ with Siberians? (while having Zhukov already on map what's more?). Smells like a bug?

CharonJr
IIRC he got intel (from a German spy if my memory serves me right) that the Japanese did not intend to attack the SU. CharonJr

Not a German spy, but a Russian spy in Tokyo - Richard Sorge - who had access to the German ambassador's messages. He even sent the date of Barbarossa! CharonJr
Hehe, yup, Sorge was a spy FOR Russia, but he was a German CharonJr

Could we get back perhaps the 2 rockets as an incentive for the rusian player to research rocket science? in 20 MP games so far I haven´t seen a single rocket

anoldman
Playing Allies in my latest PBEM, my question is: WHERE THE HELL ARE MY RESERVES!! I checked the script, but the date line is for June 01, 1942!? If January, shouldn't it read: 1942/01/06 since it says in the example portion of the script that dates are: YYYY/MM/DD? Please help, I may not have until June... --AOM
