KG ThorsHammer
We have talked about the stupidest things you've done, but what about some of your proudest military achievments. For me, hmm,,lets see; One thing I remember, even though it is nothing huge, took place when I played "crown of thorns" On the defensive as the Germans, I placed a group of 6 snipers as far forward as I could near the edge of the map, and then snuck them forward through a wheat field and kept them hidden. Many enemy troops went by and the battle raged. Finally, a group of heavy tanks loaded with infantry, observers, etc appeared and approached. It was his hammer blow on my right flank. I took my snipers out of hide mode and within a couple of turns, most of his tank commanders were dead, and his riding infantry had suffered considerable casualties and were running around. He mopped up the snipers eventually, but was forced to advance his tanks without support by the time everything was sorted out. His tanks did not do well with many a commander dead, and no infantry. MG-42
Well, For me blowing up my first KV-2 with a squad of pioneers a couple of days ago.....I know it's a small and insignificant run of the mill encounter but as it was the first time I'd successfully achieved it I was smiling from ear to ear....Oh! the endless pleasure that is CM:BB Regards MG-
Da Beginna
Killing 61 Russians and blowing up 1 BT-7, of course with the FINNISH! By the way - NO own casulties. These Sisi teams are really not made up out of Sissi boys.
RSColonel_131st
My first defense victory as german, on sunday lol. Took out 6 or more russian tanks or light armored vehicles with mines, a bit of arty, one PAK 38 and a Panzer 38. Kinda standard for an experienced player I guess, but for a start not bad... flamingknives
Dragging a draw out of an Axis probe mission - I had 3 scout cars and 4 platoons of infantry + tankhunters in an early '42 scenario. The Soviets had a platoon of T26s, a KV1, several regimental guns, an artillery spotter, 2 platoons of infantry and an open map, with only craters for cover.
Terrapin
Reading IGN's list of recent reviews for any high-score game that I haven't bought, and reading about CMBB. I ordered it 10 minutes later.
laxx
my proudest moment is playing tiger tiger as Russians and killing a Tiger with 1 squad + 1 HQ . When I tried to play to scenario again last nite, I could not get the dang tiger(s) to die. They did not even bog!
SaTyR
A Regular german mechanized panzer rifle squad caused 93 casualties. Thats my new record (forgetting artillery and tanks)... In the end the squad got stomped on by a horde of conscript ruskies, so the only cross they will be getting is a wooden one.
JaegerMeister
My single tank hunting team, literally saving the day when they single handedly knocked out two rampaging T34's by close assault whilst a little pz38 flank shot another to turn a battle completely around, when they threatened to flatten my un-supported infantry in Directive No.3 scenario against a seasoned PBEM opponent! I awarded them the EK1 and close assault clasp !!
KwK43 L/71
Charging 3 companies of Panthers across a map to a distant ridge, getting them perfectly positioned and then watching them execute 3 Battalions of Gaurds tanks as they futilly try to take back the victory flags. bab
Routing the crew of a regular Tiger with 37 mm ATGs - after damaging the gun I had to keep on shooting it for 8-10 turns, but... demoss
Routing a KV-2 with ATRs (including an apparent gun damaged). But wait, it gets better. The KV retreated into scattered trees, bogged and immobilized. It then bailed out. So I've got a KV-2 killed by an ATR! White Phosphorus
Scoring a major victory as the Soviets in the Bridgeheads scenario. That was before the patch too.
Conscript Bagger
Going waaaaay back, here, but I won't ever forget the feeling I got winning Last Defense (that's in the CMBO demo for you high-numbered johnny-come-latelys ) as the Germans after after losing all my armor support. Never give up just because your heavies are gone...
