The grid overlay function could have several su-functions such as: - Squares - Hexagons - Other shapes and the size: - 40 metres - 60 metres - etc.
Monty
Nice idea's, its tool ate anyway to get them into CMAK or did you ask for these features before ? Monty
Sergei
CMAK is not tremendously different from CMBB, you'll be lucky if the Allies speak English not Russian.

What I would like to see is a mod file using the various English speaking .wavs from CMAK to mod the Russians in CMBB. Steve

Toniet
I think that the grid overlay function is a great idea. Sorry, it's a little contribution but is my first post.

Monty Yes, these are old, unanswered wishes. I think these functions should be easy to implement (no engine-excuses) and the time seemed right to ask for some new info. I'm afraid, nothing of these will make it into CMAK.
Other Means
i completely agree with Toniet! (see, it's not too bad to post. welcome to the forum) what i would really like is the grid overlay but also in the order phase a tool to multiply the Y axis by 2 (4 etc...). this would enable small depressions to be seen better. maybe shift Y would do.
Captain Wacky
Gridded terrain can be achieved by using a grid mod. You can't change the grid lines since they are part of the grass .bmp files, but the effect is very helpful at determing changes in elevation. Unfortunately, the grid mods I did for all the CMMB terrain were lost in the Great CMMODS.com Server Crash. They were pretty popular so I'm trying to get them back up by next weekend.
Sergei
I've also made for myself a grid mod for wood bases and grain fields. In a way this is even more useful than gridded grass, because unlike grass, wood bases and fields don't vary in colour depending on altitude. Especially when working on maps of Karelian Isthmus, which all have lots of forest, lots of grain fields and lots of hills, it was a must. Maybe if others like the idea, I can make them publicly available.
Bammer
I think u fellows are missing the point. The grid overlay should be a click and drop with the various ideas available. This is a key issue and should be included in future versions of CM
Madmatt
Let me answer these for you: #1 NO #2 NO #3 NO (but I did make some nice new ones) #4 You can already do that using Shift-S #5 NO All good ideas for the most part and something to consider in CMX2, but CMAK isn't going to implement this stuff. Michael Dorosh
You can mod the colours of the unit bases by adjusting the TINT or RGB controls of your monitor.
