  1. Hello Rune, Thank you for the update. Do you know if any of these Operations or Battles will be historically accurate ? If so, what historical events will be covered. Thank you in advance
  2. 1) Has anyone heard what historical battlefields will be covered in the CMAK demo ? 2) As CMX2 is in the process of being designed and programmed, wouldn't this be the time to get input from end-users ? 3) Why wasn't 'Gaylord Focker' banned earlier ? Thank you Bammer
  3. Better Article I am not sure if Longhorn is 64 bit ? But the much better article above states that to run Longhorn your gonna need a 3.2 ghz cpu in 2006. If this is the case, I wonder what BFC is targeting as system requirements for CMX2 ?
  4. Article Will CMX2 be compatible with MS-Longhorn ?
  5. Smoke, perhaps, although I think that may be restricted to tanks with smoke launchers. The only instance in which I've seen a tank use an HE device to defend itself is when it has been equipped with a Nahvertingungwaffe (sp?), which is a whole different situation. </font>
  6. It is in CMBO CMBB so why would u think it is not in CMX2 ??
  7. Wonder why management will not answer this question ?
  8. I understand CMAK will allow larger maps. If so, will CMAK allow larger Purchase Point maximum ? Say 10,000 or 20,000 Purchase Points ? Thanks
  9. Hi, I just received the back order "After The Battle" magazine on the Battle of Cassino and Monte Cassino. It has some decent pics and maps. I would have liked to see ATB do some of their own maps with modern software, instead of relying on old stuff. Thanks
  10. The CMX2 engine is suppose to begin at the Spanish Civil War period and into WW2 on the Western Front perspective, so the time period u refer to should be covered in the next engine.
  11. A video card of at least 32mg but 64mg is better
  12. Once maps are 50 years old, they are no longer copyright protected !
  13. Demo is released before the full game
  14. Hello, May I suggest for the two demo scenarios to be released for CMAK in the near future, perhaps, this time u could do historical battles that are balanced. I would hate to see a repeat of the CMBB demos, that were so disliked. Thank you
  15. Of course, it would have to be a 5000 point sized map to do it justice !
  16. I think u fellows are missing the point. The grid overlay should be a click and drop with the various ideas available. This is a key issue and should be included in future versions of CM
  17. I was looking through a computer parts sales magazine and noticed that the retailers are stocked 90% with 128 mg video cards, only one had the new 256 mg video card, but it is tres expensive. One of the computer salesmen in my area suggested that the 512mg video cards will be out within 12 months ! It will be interesting to see have the new development of video cards allowing CM to evolve into a better game. On a side note my computer monitor died and I am getting a new on Monday. My research reflects the LGF900P ROCKS and blows away Samsung & Viewsonic ! Can anyone with first hand knowledge comment on that ? [ October 18, 2003, 07:55 AM: Message edited by: Bammer ]

  19. Hi, Good features to have, not sure about the different faces in winter though. The grid overlay function could have several su-functions such as: - Squares - Hexagons - Other shapes and the size: - 40 metres - 60 metres - etc.
  20. Hello, I understand that CMAK will have increased height, so I am wondering if Monte Cassiino would be scalable. That would be allot of fun to make and play I am going to give it a try, anyone else ?? Cordially, Bammer
  21. Yup, thatd be me As I mentioned above, it is certainly something we will investigate. We can do it and as you suggested bammer, on the suface it appears it probably wouldnt be too hard to do. Time will tell though, and time to implement it will probably be the deciding factor Dan </font>
  22. Hello, If we were to apply your logic, why don't we all just go back to TRS-80s Software programers are only limited by the hardware that drives it ! The better the hardware the stronger the software that can be written. I think 64 cpus are just around the corner for desktops and correspondingly stronger programs in the very near future. Keep an eye on the graphics leaders like Quake, they will be our canaries ! And programs like CM will soon follows Perhaps, it will be called the CMX3 engine
  23. Strange, I would have thought 64 bits would have allowed programmers more opportunity to increase the power of their software script. More power, more capabilities in the game. Let us take this example: BFC keeps infanctry in platoon to company level. If there was a 64 bit CPU and 513 mg videi card and a 1 GB of ram I would think that they could have individual soldiers displayed at least in samller battles. What do others think ?
