Holman
This is nothing. Clearly you weren't here for the Night Of The Refreshing Monkeys. Or for the *other* Night Of The Refreshing Monkeys. *That* was activity!
Macphail
i agree. it has been very quiet lately. i would guess not enough new members.
Michael Emrys
And not much to talk about. Michael
ParaBellum
The problem is that there simply isn't any topic left we haven't debated to death during the last four or five years. Maybe I should start a new "SS are overprized Hamsters" or a "why can't HMG teams run" for old times' sake.

jeffsmith
Is there real any evidence, other than Mr Dorosh (Respectfully Uttered, of course) that Bren Gun Tripods were actually ever made let alone utilized ?
CombinedArms
Hey, I've got one we haven't talked about for a while. Are sharpshooters really snipers...or not? (I forget why this issue raised such passion in some quarters, but it certainly did.)

In one of my books there is a photo of a commonwealth soldier firing a bren MG on a tripod. Don't have a scanner though...
Michael Emrys
During the (ahem) "Great Debate" on this subject, someone came up with fairly authoritive evidence that the tripods were in fact not only manufactured, but issued. It appears, however, that mostly they stayed on the company truck. They seem to have been used in long-term fixed positions some though, and they were certainly used in the AA mount during the first three or four years of the war especially. Michael Dorosh
Screw it, I say we make our own patch. I'll do the colour brochures. Seanachai can be the Poet Laureate of the design team. Emrys can do google searches whenever the design team needs them done. Sowden can be Commonwealth Grog Number One. Ummm.... Who wants to code it?

Michael Dorosh
Excellent choice! He sucks so badly at CM the other Beta Testers will be lined up around the block waiting to play agin him. We might finally get that X-Wing Patch, too.

Michael Dorosh
Something tells me Smitty will not be on the Beta Test Team... Perhaps, however, if we smartens up, Seanachai will kill him last...
sand digger
Well we could continue the 'Brens Were Not Used as Assault Weapons Because it WAS NOT in the Book and They Had a Tri/Bi-Pod' proposition. If anyone could be bothered, except those to who The Book is Everything
Scheer
I´m not so sure if the inclusion of the vaunted Bren Tripod aint a mock against some grogs.
