Japanzer
I've just made a Campaign tool for CMBB and/or CMAK. Here is a screenshot. I think many of you know the Mapping Mission. Like Mapping Mission, this tool automatic enter key presses and mouse clicks. Windows, 1024*768 screen user only LINK
Some_God
Out of all the symbols it had to be a Nazi one... shame on you.
BFawlty
Personally I applaud the attempt.Thanks. Some_God you don't need to use it if you find the symbols offensive. BF

Japanzer
First of all, I'm not Nati. The reason that I used the symbol is to imitate to the order paper's feeling in WW2 Germany. I know the symbol has political argument. I looked at Combat Mission's bmps. Germany helmet, uniform, and Afrika korps tank bmps have the symbol. So, I judged it is OK. But, did I misjudged it?
ianc
So, I judged it is OK. But, did I misjudged it?No you didn't misjudge it at all. Pretty typical that you'd spend your time creating a tool for everyone else to use and all they can do is complain about it... ianc

Now about the instruction diagrams that go with the program...Drug and Drop just isn't going to cut it!! The term is "Drag and Drop". Joachim
Finally... no paperwork in a campaign... I'll miss it , though my time is limited at the moment. The technical concept is good, but what about game play? How do your campaigns work? A few interesting points: Random scenarios? A tree of pre-made maps/battles? How does your core transfer from battle to battle? Upgrades? Have to check that tool! Gruß Joachim
Japanzer
Thanks for your replies. I am reliefed to see your replies. Joachim, > Random scenarios? > A tree of pre-made maps/battles? If pre-made scenario exists, you will play it. Otherwise, you will play map imported QB. > How does your core transfer from battle to battle? > Upgrades? Core force's experience and headcount will change. You can upgrade your armor. Aux force exists, but you can not scrounge any unit and can not add any unit to coreforce.
ww2steel
Just a quick note- The instructions on your page say to install SS_RGC and SS_GGC into saved games- but your directory tree shows them in the base CMBB/CMAK directories. I guess I can figure out which one works. Thanks, Mike
ww2steel
This seems really great, but I have a few problems... 1) I have the difficulty of not being able to read the error messages because I don't speak... um... whatever that is. 2) I don't know what to do with an .lzh file... where does the uswc.exe come from? I think that's it so far. Thanks!
GoofyStance
Originally posted by ww2steel: 2) I don't know what to do with an .lzh file... LZH is an old archiving standard that uses a less efficient compression scheme than ZIP or other schemes. You can use LHARC (a DOS-based program, that's how old LZH is!) to decompress a LZH file, or just use one of the better compression programs around, like WINRAR.
Japanzer
ww2steel, Thank you for your replies. About install of SS_RGC & SS_GGC: The sentense was wrong, the image is right. They are to be installed in the base CMBB/CMAK directories.
ww2steel
Great, let me try some things. I can't believe that CM** doesn't have a tool like this already installed! This will be great! Mike

ww2steel
Perhaps a bit more help please? I have extracted the lzx files, set up my colors, created the Ger and Rus save directories (but not the A, B, C dir's), and I've set up the colors. I run RGCinitial both with the game open and not and am using the date 4106. It gives me an error saying U-Script: It isn't defined: MAPTYPE C:\ENIGMA\ENIGMA\UWSC28D\MAP_GENERATER_RGC.UWS: 166 ... Any idea what I did wrong. The only difference I know of so far is that I do not have CMAK, so I specified the CMBB folder for CMAK. Thanks! Oddball_E8
oooh... read the "how to install" and "how to use" text on your site... waaaaay to much for me... ill keep to my good old (but, admittedly, a bit simple) pen and paper version
Japanzer
Hi, C:\ENIGMA\ENIGMA\UWSC28D\MAP_GENERATER_RGC.UWS: 166 ... Maybe the directory is wrong. Wrong C:\ENIGMA\ENIGMA\... Right C:\ENIGMA\... Please run the "Install Quick Checker.UWS" and check your install.
Hensworth
Also having problems with RGCinitial : U-Script: SyntaxError 81<garbled>: SS_RGCEXEEND = EXEC(SSRGCEXE, TRUE) Same problem occurs with other initializing files. Japanzer
Sgt_Kelly, Thank you for your reply. U-Script: SyntaxError 81: SS_RGCEXEEND = EXEC(SSRGCEXE, TRUE) Hmm, it's strange. An "_"(underbar) drops out in the message. Please confirm at line 81. Right: SS_RGCexeEnd = EXEC(SS_RGCexe, True) Note there are 2 underbars.
Kilroy Lurking
I've just made a Campaign tool for CMBB and/or CMAK...... Great idea! Err..Any chance of a "Mac" version?
Hensworth
The underscore is there in the message, I mistyped.
Japanzer
> Sgt_Kelly, Hmm, I can't find the cause. I tried to make the syntaxerror you wrote, but I wasn't able to do it. If you use Windows 95, the tool may not run on Win95. Or, any program running at background may interfere. > Oddball_E8, Pen and paper rule is good. At least, it cannot be that a software doesn't work. > Kilroy Lurking, I don't have a Mac, unfortunally.
