MikeyD
This batch finishes off the Italian Theater Shermans: - British Sherman V (early) - British Sherman V - British Sherman Firefly VC At our favorite site: www.cmmods.com Here are the extended hull Sherman V's. The MkV (early) has been given early suspension and direct vision ports. The MkV -mid has full tool stowage and applique armor. And the last is the classic Firefly VC. You’ve got a choice of two types turret radio box, alt. vehicle markings, and the option of air recognition panel and spare track armor on the bow. The classic Firefly was a fitting end to my ETO Sherman project. Twenty eight Sherman mods by my count. Here’s the cmmods.com screenshots. junk2drive
I just started a PBEM last week that has some Vs. I've been waiting for these. Thanks yet again.
patboy
Hi Mikey, Absolute fantastic work you did with these "Shermans"! Any chance you give yellow camo to British and American " Shermans " North Africa theatre ? Thanks Pat
MikeyD
Yup. Two Brit N.A. Shermans to go to polish-off the game. I've already done an alt. U.S. "Kassarine Pass" M4A1, and I think (though I'lll double-check) the U.S. M4 early is shared by both N.A. and Italy.
Pzman
Yes the US models are shared, but I think the Commenwealth ones are not.
MikeyD
By the way, I saved my absolute favorite tank name "Bangalore" for that firefly (That's the vehicle name on my old from-scratch VC Firefly model). The name combines the Brit affection for its Indian empire with 'bang-galore' ... lots of bangs!

Earl Grey
Might it be possible to do a black/green camo scheme on a few Shermans? I always liked it, but I´m not that good at modding yet...
Vergeltungswaffe
I'll never get tired of saying "great job" as I install your mods.
MikeyD
Does anybody know of any reference verifying the existance of black/green camou on Brit ETO Shermans? I know they did it to other vehicles (most notably trucks), and that scheme shows up on the occassional model, but I seem to recall a VEEEERY distant memory that the in-theater Shermans never really got that scheme. Am I right?
patboy
I think so, brown camo was present in Italy, but never saw black camo in Normandy! Pat

Something I could use for AIW?
MikeyD
"Love those Maple Leaf decals!" Stolen ...I mean 'borrowed' off the AFV News Website, 'camouflage an markings' section. Credit Mr. Chris Johnson for those Canadian decals, and Francis Liew of Singapore for most of the others.
Jack Carr
I have all of them now. They're brilliant! As always, thanks so much for your hard work and dedication to this great software. I still can't believe that after all of these years I sit down and fire up Combat Mission almost every day. Incredible!

Brent Pollock
Dang - those "front hull covered by spare track" bmps don't seem to be improving the survivability any
Earl Grey
@Mikey: Sorry, didn´t know there is no hard evidence regarding the use of black/green camo for the ETO Shermans - not my field of expertise. I do know more about German camouflage as I have researched the topic for months. Most of the time without any real and logical conclusion, though...
