Patton21
When I defend against the AI and reach the final conclusion, a total victory on my part, I then look at the map. The units that the AI bought just dont add up to what they had to spend. Have you guys noticed this?
rleete
The AI is programmed to run crews, out-of-ammo FO's and prisoners off map. You won't see all they had, unless you can find knocked out weapons and know exactly how much arty he dropped.
mike_the_wino
I know you are supposed to run units off board rather than have them captured or killed but is there any benfit to running out-of-ammo FOs off map if they are safely behind the front?

IIRC no. You even have less morale afterwards, which might lead to an earlier auto-ending. Gruß Joachim
Redwolf
The computer selector often does not spend all allowed points on units. There are, sometimes huge, "rounding errors".
Ex Bellator
Interesting, now I wonder if these rounding errors could be a reason why I don't see much medium or heavy armour in smaller battles? I'm getting fed up with fighting halftracks and armoured cars in circa 1000 point Combined Arms QBs. Redwolf
There should be a "no freakin' vehicles" options for the autoselector. Since the armor category is on average much more expensive it statistically triggers a bigger amount of unused points from rounding most of the times. There you go. I so wish BFC would open this stuff to external programs. DEATH TO APCS ON THE DEFENSE!!!
WWB
Other issue--rarity. Who knows what effect variable rarity had on the prices you did not see? WWB

Experiment with the division type and force mix for the AI: Point allocation is based on force type (inf, mech, CA, armor, PA) AND division type (inf, mech, sec, guards, para, ...). Maybe a foot infantry type division (ie not mech) for an armor battle generates less vehicle points but about the same armor as a CA-battle for a mech division.
