It is one of the most undermodded units(next to the Archer)in this game and IMHO it seems that it would be an easier mod to create because of all the broad surfaces. I know there are some for the original uniforms but I guess you can't use them for any of the new uniforms that are out. It really improves the appearance of the game seeing dozens of GI's coming over a hill to attack the enemy, I think anyway. Yes, I know the airborne troops have them. Thinking of the ground pounders. These patches come with easy to manage batch files , which make it easy to switch between the different units. The drawback: these insignia work only with the original CM uniform bmp´s. And - yes - I know .... the inaccourate airbone patches will be corrected during the next days. PawBroon and Max I remember seeing this Mod now and just may have downloaded it. I have soooo many mods now, over 800 Megs, it's hard to keep track of what is what. I may have lost it in the shuffle. I'm gonna check. Great job on the Trucks Max and Klink. And I am happy to hear the Diamler is getting modded up again Pawbroon. I'd like to take this time and thank all the modsters out there on all their efforts in making this game really come alive. You guys as well as the scenario jockies keep a great game going strong. It seems we have specialists in every modding avenue that CM offers. How many games can boast of that. BTS and the Boys should be very proud! BTW if anybody hasn't downloaded the new death screams from Scipio Base GET THEM!! I highly recommend it. These files add alot to the sound submersion of CM. .......ok enough gushing Mord. Warmaker Posted May 6, 2001 Share Posted May 6, 2001 Oh, just remembered another badly needed mod: While d/l Tiger's German gun set (which included AA guns) weapons like the 37mm AAA turrets on the SdKfz 7/2 for example will be different from the truck itself. I humbly suggest the SdKfz 7/1 and 7/2 get matching textures. I can live without a Jagdtiger mod. The MDMP that comes with one is extremely beautiful like the Lynx version. Another question/suggestion: Is it possible to model two different textures for the German tankers (Heer/Waffen-SS)? If so, which I highly doubt, retain the traditional black panzer outfits for the Heer while camouflaged uniforms are used for the Waffen-SS panzer crews! Just want a quick, visual difference between the two services' panzer crews. And to repeat my old request: Hi-Res mods for the Panthers in an ambush paint scheme! Also, still need a mod for the the Lynx and some av's such as the german gun tractor and allied M4/M3 halftracks. Ram Kangaroo also, but then again.. Look up the Lynx under Axis armor and you should see a link for the "PzIIL_Lynx_Hires" by CoolCOolJ. It looks better than the work of art in the MDMP's and that's alot to say. I have CMBO moded exactly the way I want it right now (thanx Panzertruppen!) and to over ride my beautiful BMP's would be too much! We have a zillion Sherman mods and the jeeps get far more attention than this King of the Battle(disclaimer:at no point in this message is JAK complaining about any of the wonderful mods created by the most talented Sherman masters,you know who you are and thankyou for your hard work)! But a Jgd Tiger is definitly one my must have list, along with a toned down hires version of the original Waffen-SS jump suit. Doug Williams Posted May 6, 2001 Share Posted May 6, 2001 Jak, All you have to do is download MDMP2, unzip it, find out which BMPs are used for the Jadgtiger (there is a list at Combat Missions, I believe), and copy only those BMPs into your CMBO BMP directory. If you alter the trousers you loose the boots...i tried it before..i think that the arms are a shared file with the trousers. If you mod the uniform you may not have the soldier wearing anything but pea pattern boots There may be a work around to this....mb mod the upper portion of that bmp to the cammo and the lower one to black/brown for boots...would this lead us to a leather glove wearing WSS tank commander ??? I have not tried that yet..mb later Just my 1p worth. Reason i doubt is i tried to make a Stug uniform using the Pz uniform as a basis...when i coloured in the bmps i got a soldier wearing light grey shoes!!!!!! Tiger has a nice camo mod, but I don't think camo was much used by U.S. forces. And a request to BTS for all future CMs: No more shared BMP files. It's one of the few that I don't have or I would try to send it. The MDMP on Matt's site has some SPR samples in them, richochets, some fighting sounds and Corporal Upum screaming at the Germans to surrender. That is a start. Mord.
