Crap, nothing in the mail today. Didn't really expect there to be but hope springs eternal. Surely Somebody will get a copy today.

You mean you hadn't received YOUR copy?

Naaah, just kidding.

Can't see how it could have been delivered in France before anywhere else...

Well I watched the mailman pull up and what did he leave? A bill. I guess I'm going to have to play the gold demo one more time to get my fix. I'm hoping monday will be the day. But if it isn't then at least I'll have the terminus demo to play with.

for me the weekend is ok because i just got a great-playing late model ibanez rg with non-locking (down-only) tremolo bar and an 80watt peavey transtube amplifier.

in other words i just bought a really loud electric guitar setup. -g-

i'm sure my neighbors are thrilled.

off to try and spew some arpeggios and other assorted riffs...

the '90s are over... let's rock!!!

I thought about that but the Doctor said that Viagra would probably work as well, so ...

No Joy here in Muddville (Denver) either.

Ordered on day one of pre-order being available well over a year ago. Would have hoped my order would have been one of the lucky 50 that went out Wed. Those games must have all went out to playtesters, etc. So I'd think mine would have went out by Thur. at latest then. Here it is this afternoon and postman has come and gone. Must have been Thur. shipout and it's going to take the full 3 days to get here. Arrrrrggggggggg!!!

Grrrrrrrr, frown.gif Majorly bummed out.

Guess it's looking like Monday now.

Mikester out.

You guys from the USA are all extremely lucky! We will not get the game over here in Europe before late next week. What shall we do in the meantime!? Maybe stock up food and other supplies, and prepare for many weeks of constantly playing CM. Yeah, I think thats what I will do...

Mikester,

We are in the same boat. I pre-ordered June of 99 and no joy here in Houston either. My card was charged on the 15th so it looks like Monday may be the target date.

Us folk on the west coast are going to have to be VERY patient. My wife ordered a book from Amazon.com that shipped from the east coast last monday. They shipped it priority mail and it did not get here until friday. I'm betting Weds-Thurs of next week for my copy.

Listen up everyone. Ghost One got his today only because of:

A) His place in line. He pre-ordered early on.

B) His location. He lives in New Hampshire. I am the same distance away in New York. The distance from the Fullfillment Company is 146 Miles east to his house and 155 miles west to my house, in the other direction.

Essentially, he got the game because of his place in line. I'm sure Monday I'll get mine. Everyone else in the U.S. may have to wait another day or two.

Yeah, this totally sucks. At least it wasn't sitting in my mailbox while I spent the day in Lansdale PA with my sister, her husband, and his aunt at a cat breeder, and then taking about 2.5 hours to make a trip that normally takes 1.75 due to an accident on the PA Turnpike.

This coming week is going to suck hard and fast. I just KNOW it'll arrive Monday while I'm dealing with my idiot customers and their pathetic problems.

I'm not even going to look at the rest of the board--that's how discouraged I am.

Damn it all, I should have pre-ordered earlier than I did.

I'm fairly sure I did as well, but not 100% as I lost the order-confirmation email a few months back when my install of Win95 bit the big one and I had to reinstall; I wasn't able to get to the place that Netscape stored mail.

The beta was released ca. Oct. 10 1999. I'm pretty sure I preordered in/before September. I started my current job on Sept 7, and began telling my job trainer, who was a tanker from 86-91, about this cool game that I had already pre-ordered.

Oh well. It still sucks, but there are greater tragedies in life. That accident that I mentioned that slowed our return home; we're pretty sure that some people died in that. The car we saw was missing its windshield/roof structure, and it was a type of car that isn't commonly found in convertible form. You can't smear off the roof/etc of a car without killing somebody.
