This patch just adds the Pack content.

If I recall correctly one thing to try as a remedy was to not start the naval bombardment full on right away - @Ithikial_AU? Oddly I didn't have a problem with it on my gaming laptop, my lucky day. . The remedy for me was to only do the naval bombardment right away, and leave orders for my infantry for the next turn. The insane lag in that mission was at its worst for me during the deployment phase, and it really eased up when I was giving orders for turn 2. And having my infantry hunker down for a turn or two turned out to be a good plan anyway, since it took a turn or two to gain fire superiority (with the assistance of the naval gunfire, which took the better part of the first turn for the first shells to land) and trying to move across open beach without fire superiority is a ticket to unnessesary losses.
Mik093
For my part, the game crashes no matter what I do. In general, I never play two missions in a row, I usually make a save during the placement phase and resume my game later. So by loading my game with this save, the game crashes as soon as I start the timer. Same if I don't give any orders to infantry or naval artillery. My remedy was to load the last save of the previous mission, finish it and continue on Uncle Red. During the placement phase, I gave my orders to the infantry and artillery and the game did not crash.
Bearstronaut
This is a fantastic Battle Pack. I'm on the Poupeville mission in the D-Day campaign and now I remember what a pain in the *** hedgerows are.

Oh, that's useful. Before, I've just gone into the editor and noted the dates of scenarios in a notebook in order to play them chronologically.
OldSarge
This is a solid BP! I'm now thoroughly paranoid about minefields, having watched a platoon, properly broken down into teams, wander haplessly into a minefield and getting decimated - oh the carnage. 2nd platoon of "I" company was effectively rendered hors de combat. One, little bit of trivia concerning the lettering of U.S. rifle companies. The US followed the alphabet in naming each of a regiment's companies, but they skipped the letter 'J' because the typeset of the time it was too easy to confuse 'I' and 'J'. So, the companies of the third battalion would be "I", "K", "L" and "M". It is a small nit, but this is a wargaming site and wargamers are notoriously pedantic. Bearstronaut
Hey @Ithikial_AU, I got a question for you. I'm playing the Purple Heart Lane campaign and I'm on the second battle of the causeway (dusk). I managed to get a company-ish onto the footholds and even clear out some of the overwatch Fallschirmjager. I cease-fired because I didn't want to push on in the dark and got a tactical victory but ended up back at the start point on causeway battle #3. Do I have to play through that one or if I load up an earlier save and just keep pushing towards Carentan killing Germans will it skip the causeway night battle?

Occupy the bridges and the foothold location. Ensure the enemy are well clear. Casualties you cause also stack for the enemy so should have an easier time at night.

The night battle was a bit of a snooze as I was able to get my dudes on to the objective with no contact. Kudos again on the fantastic battle pack!
