No German Flamethrower Teams in Specialist Teams?

Recommended Posts

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I can no longer find any German flamethrower teams listed under specialist teams.  I've checked different months / years under German Army, SS, Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine.  Am I just somehow missing them?  I'm working on a scenario where I have some that I'm pretty sure I added from specialty teams several months ago.  Yesterday I went back to add more and can't locate any.  The Soviets still have them.

Did an update remove German flamethrower teams from specialty teams???

I was just looking myself as I make a scenario for the soon to be released CMRT Warsaw Uprising Mod and noticed the same thing...

I was forced to purchase the Engineer Unit and just delete out or "R7" the un-desired HQ's.

Hmmmm

EDIT: I opened an old scenario of mine from 2015 and it showed I had purchased a flamethrower team for a rifle platoon.

So, definitely something is odd with purchase editor after F&R and update umptyscratch.

Yep, I switched some pioneer platoons from standard to flamethrower and accomplished what I wanted.  Somebody else already reported this.  So back to scenario testing. :)

Hmm.  Thanks for finding this out.  It's a reason it makes sense to delay buying a module until more bugs are eliminated.

A very looooong time ago, one of my professors used to say: If we always would have aimed for perfection, we would have the perfect stone axe today….🤓

Quite correct in most circumstances.  But, after 14 years of CM2, it's awful to spend dozens of hours playing a campaign or scenario and then finding out that an update changes things and one has missed out on the best version of the game.  If one likes replaying games that's no problem.  But, some of us hate replaying.  It's a reason to envy recent newcomers to this game.  They have already enjoyed much superior versions of the games than what us oldtimers had 14 years ago (or even 5 years ago).

I hear and understand what you are saying, but to answer with the words of Edith Piaf: Non, je ne regret rien!

Back then it was like „Woah, what a great game.“ and newbies today probably say the same. If they like the general concept and are not appalled by ancient graphics and game play.
