Fizou
Im guessing this is a bug, not sure if its known though. Im playing the second battle in the Foiling Fustian campaign, and the AS42 scout cars with 47mm AT guns show up as available on map artillery assets. Clicking the artillery asset icon highlights the unit on the board. Is this a bug, or am I missing something?
sypox
The 47/32 was an artillary piece.
DougPhresh
This whole time I had no idea I could use the AS as a SP gun! I knew about the 47 for on and off-map indirect fires but this is new and awesome!
Fizou
Thanks for clearing that up for me sypox. I will report back here once I have had them fire a mission. Very limited HE stock so will probably be to limited effect.
Erwin
Never noticed that before. Thanks for the heads-up.
MikeyD
That gun is on-map artillery but its pretty bad on-map artillery due to its high muzzle velocity and flat trajectory. Its helpful if you want to clear some low stone walls blocking your LOF but its not equivalent to a 75mm howitzer lobbing a fat shell over intervening hills. Actually, if you check 47mm off-map artillery those shells usually come in at a rather shallow angle too. Its been a long time since I've played with it.
Fizou
Not a very effective configuration but a very cool detail. With a TRP its possible to order air burst missions.

Erwin
Yes, love it like the various light Brit vehicles in WW2 as well as CMSF. Need to check if any weapon is dismountable as one can do with some of the Brit's. (eg the Brit's AGL and 7.62mm.)

Situational, like you said, but it will rip infantry in the open a new one, even though a fair number of rounds go smack or detonate so high it is detrimental. General Jack Ripper
So, it's sort of like using an 88mm FlaK as indirect arty? "You can, but why would you want to?"
