dan/california
Is this going to happen? Tweaking the current Mac version into functionality with BS seems to be beyond me.
poesel
1) choose the 'Your CM insallations' tab 2) Menu - Installs - Add Installs 3) point it to the App 4) finished There - wasn't complicated CMBS has no icon - everything else works.
Mesquite55
Ok where exactly do you point it? I have it installed under C:/program files(86)/battlefront/combat mission black sea....and it has files in the documents folder also. Which do you point it at? Do you point it at the main folder? The user data? What folder exactly? Thanks!
dan/california
It won't let me do that, the menu item in question is grayed out. Thanks for responding.
domfluff
Assuming you're on Windows, and everything's in the default position, when you add CMBS you need to set the game directory path to the Black Sea folder in My Documents, and the executable path to the actual exe, in program files. ridethe415
Try the CMBS folder in the Applications folder, then the actual app in that folder. At work at the moment, but that should be the way to do it.
Jim1954
Not a Mac guy but does your install have a desktop shortcut? Can you figure out what the default directory and executable are from there? That is one thing that woks well in windoze, at least for me.
dan/california
I know exactly where it is. I am cut and pasting turns in an out manually like crazy. I just can't get the utility to accept the input I want to give it. It may be something strange in the latest Mac OS is unhappy with the mild hack I am attempting. I mean the game itself is running FLAWLESSLY. But automating all the turn shuffling would be nice.
Vet 0369
If you can tell me where to get CMH, I'll download it and see if I can get it to work on my Mac Pro. I have 10.9.5 so I'm not running the latest OS. I checked CMMODS, but didn't find it there. Edited February 12, 2015 by Vet 0369

ridethe415
i just added CMBS. Running Yosemite and CMH 1.5.0 Add install, browse to the app file. It does say that it doesn't know what version it is.
dan/california
Just tried again, its not happy, swapping turns isn't the end of the world. it will keep me from trying to play 9 PBEMs at once. Anybody up for a game by the way?
A Canadian Cat
If you want you can try Whose Turn Is It? instead. It will work with a Mac - I know because it took me forever to get it to work right and finally actually got a crappy Mac to figure it out. The screen shots for setting up games are all PC (I could have sworn I did a better job of mixing it up) but the procedure is the same for a Mac: http://www.lesliesoftware.com/products/WhoseTurnIsIt/gettingstarted.html#setup
dan/california
I tried yesterday, and couldn't get to go for pretty much the same reasons as CMH. Options the instructions think I should have aren't allowed.
dan/california
I don't rule out that I am doing something idiotic. But whatever it is escapes me?
dan/california
Okay, I almost have "whose turn is it working". It is clearly seeing my in and out folders in the game. I have it pointed at my top level dropbox but it is not seeing turns there. DoI need to have it pointed at the folder for a particular game? can I designate a different folder for each game if so?
dan/california
And yes, I was being an idiot.
A Canadian Cat
Yes, you designate a folder for each opponent at least. In WTII you tell it about each game you play. It can handle multiple games using the same shared folder but each game needs to be added to WTII separately
poesel
And yes, I was being an idiot. I'm on a Mac, too. My instructions (second post) are for CMH on a Mac. Follow the instructions and it will work.
