VasFURY
Woop woop. Just wanted to be the first to "chirp" this. Call it a "tactical insertion" Edited January 30, 2015 by VasFURY
Kieme(ITA)
This is very childish and uncalled for, I will report this for removal.
VasFURY
Wow, seriously? One cannot be excited and advise others on the board that the game is available for download?
astano
Double-check your e-mail: ATTENTION! We are offering these early downloads exclusively to our pre-order customers as a reward for your trust and loyalty. In your best interest, please do not tell anyone else about it, or the download servers may be flooded with a lot of new customers, robbing you of your ability to download the game quickly. Personally I have no idea how much of an impact on d/l speeds this has, but many around here are quite adamant about it. It's considered a breach of forum protocol by the pre-orderers to let the cat out of the bag as it impacts all of them too.

Stugdownunder
I think the pre-orders were coming out a couple of hours early before the release to the general public as a thankyou for your pre-order. As its 1:00am in Perth Western Australia I will gladly await my Saturday morning Blask Sea Fest. Have fun with your game:)
Blyskawica
it is normal that those who have bought preorder, have first, by cons I hope for others it does not take too long
kuri
Still wishing there'd be an option for digital only preorder next time.

As if anyone has actually followed that rule in the myriad of releases BFC has done . Lighten up.
VasFURY
Astano, thank you for pointing that out to me. My bad. I didnt realise Battlefront operated on a staggered release platform, with pre-orders going out first. When I pre-ordered the game, I just thought it was because it would be cheaper than purchasing it when the game would be released.
astano
As if anyone has actually followed that rule in the myriad of releases BFC has done . Lighten up. To be clear, it doesn't really bother me any. The tradition of someone posting about it and being pilloried in the forums is a time-honored one; it wouldn't be a new release without it.
VasFURY
NP, but I can see how others may be cheesed off by this excitement. Especially in instances where people wanted a digital only release. Oof, but exciting this day is! ratdeath
I downloaded Gustav Line at 5,1 MB/sec and the CMBS download is 500-900 KB/sec. Maybe CMBS is more popular or there is another bottleneck between the server and me at the moment.
De Savage
I would like digital only pre-order too. Deliver is pretty expensive (27 dollar) to Finland, Europe. Plz, release it soon! I'll buy digital only as soon as it's there... Edited January 30, 2015 by De Savage
Na Vaske
I would like digital only pre-order too. Deliver is pretty expensive (27 dollar) to Finland, Europe. Only reason I did not Pre-Order.. I would probably receive the physical copy in 2017.
slysniper
Well, someone is going to post every time. I just crack up that people get mad that someone does. like it really changes anything. ratdeath
I do wonder how many "pre-order" it after someone post that it's released for preorders.... well hmm I am guilty of that (so that's one) (Not with CMBS though, that one I preordered long time ago, maybe it was CMRT)
VasFURY
Does it really take such a long amount of time between pre-order release, and standard release? What is the experience with the past games?
slysniper
by tomorrow, it will be out for anyone.
ratdeath
I think it's a couple of hours, at most. But the wait.. knowing.. it's there...almost... so close... aaargh! Pre-Order! Click! Download!
slysniper
No, in the past it normally has been about a day. It just depends on BF. Whenever they feel like flipping the switch. Only once do I recall it being under 24 hours

VasFURY
Ah, ok, so its not like a 2 week wait period or something ridiculous like that. Yeh, a day seems fairly reasonable, considering you save almost 30 bucks of shipping cost plus additional customs charges for a hard copy that you dont really need in this day and age.
