This is to simulate the "field expedient rigging" of a stable support high enough to let the MG fire out of apertures. Are you sure you're waiting long enough? If you cancel the "Deploy" order, the clock will start again, but not until they've packed up having completed the original Deployment. Impatience here can lead to the wepaon never setting up. Erik Springelkamp Posted March 3, 2014 Share Posted March 3, 2014 I noticed that sometimes one sees one of the crew members 'deploying' for a while, and then the gun will finally be deployed. ASL Veteran Posted March 3, 2014 Share Posted March 3, 2014 I seem to recall that there was something going on with MGs in buildings and covered arcs that was fixed in the CMBN MG module. If you have a covered arc set it won't deploy ... something like that. womble Posted March 3, 2014 Share Posted March 3, 2014 Something I think I noticed recently is that the chaps doing the "deploying" don't do it for the entire setup time, which can be confusing when you're not sure whether you gave the order or not... Edit: I should explain the reasoning: they've been there more than a minute, their MG isn't deployed, and I thought I'd put a deploy as the last waypoint command, yet I don't see any men doing any "deploying" actions, so I (mistakely) surmise that I forgot to do that, hit "D" (my hotkey for deploy) and see, when the command pane flips to "Special" that they are now not deploying their weapon...
